Great LED lights! I love the color options. I have installed the string lights along the partially covered upper deck which runs along the front of my home and love changing the light colors to match the seasonal decor. I have had this same light set for over two years and they are still working great. Now I am adding more!

There is conflicting product information indicating on the box that the lights are indoor only yet the product description here on Amazon indicates outdoor use. I have been fine taking a little precaution protecting the electrical connection from rain with a bit of plastic and storms haven’t caused any issues.

The wire is very thin and I would suggest that these micro string lights are best for linear use and not for winding around tree branches or any other excessive bending.

There are so many light mode options that you might have to hide the remote from some of the family members if you don’t want your home set to “rave” mode at Christmas. ???? The remote comes with the CR2025 battery (I found spares at Dollar Tree) but the battery should last a long time. I attached a Velcro command strip to the back of the remote to keep it handy indoors near where my lights are installed. I also found that if the lights are plugged into a smart plug when they come on they will be back to the setting I last selected.

Great lights. Good quality. Get some! Two thumbs up! ????????????????

 I purchased these, as well as the "Brizled Color Changing Fairy Lights" -- as far as I can tell they are the same product. Get whichever is the most economical.

These are pretty interesting lights: they're bright, the colors are accurate and vibrant, and they are indeed individually addressable LEDs. The built-in effects are pretty good too! You get a handful of settings and the remote is full-featured. But the effects on offer definitely do not take full advantage of what's possible with addressable LED strings... they should be capable of a lot more.

If you do some searching you'll find some info on the WLED forums about them. They use a proprietary chip that appears to be compatible with the standard WS2812 protocol, so it's worth experimenting with a WLED controller.

I used an ESP8266 mini board (cheap) with WLED flashed to it, reused the power supply from this set, and connected the data directly to a GPIO pin on the board. They lit right up and after entering the string length (200) everything worked just fine.

Apparently, you can't hook two of these strings end-to-end, as somehow the ID of each individual light is hard-wired into the light, unlike normal WS2812s, which index in the order the lights are chained. This means you can inject the data at any point on the line and it "just works." If you want two strings, you need to have two segments in WLED, and two GPIO pins with independent data signals. You'd also want a bigger power supply anyway, so you probably don't want to do multiple strings with one controller unless you know what you're doing, and in that case you're probably not hacking a cheap fairy light string, heh.

What do you get for your trouble? WLED (look it up!) is capable of a wild number of effects and colors, as well as automating, synchronizing different strings, and more. It's very powerful.

Anyway, great success overall! I have a couple other WLED-powered strings around, so this means I can integrate this one into the effects. I love the different look and smaller lights this offers. So far they're holding up well and it was a very affordable way to get 66 feet of lights.

I put one string in my window with a WLED controller, but with this string, I made two battery-powered color changing lights for inside out pumpkins. Definitely a DIY project but very possible and these lights work great!

 These were very easy to set up (maybe a little tangled up but that's ok) and worked right out of the box. I had them set up for a whole year in my previous apartment and they really packed a punch! Adjustable brightness, lots of color settings, and had plenty of length. If you're looking for RGB lights, I recommend using these instead of the strip lights. These won't peel paint off your walls or have lights randomly go dead if you look at them wrong. You can hang these up with hooks or even just thumb tacks and then take them down whenever you want, plus they look more interesting!

EDIT 2023: I just used these lights for my little 4 ft Christmas tree, and WOW! They look great! They were a bit of a pain to actually wrap around the tree, but the length really filled this thing up with lights. Having a remote to turn your tree lights on and off is a super nice luxury - especially if you end up with a bunch of presents under your tree, no need to find your floor switch or unplug the tree! I highly recommend this strand if you want to decorate a non-prelit tree. These lights get tangled very easily, but they are so bright and have such a nice color and so many modes that I can't not recommend it! Plus, there's a green/red and a white/red lighting mode if you're more into those colors for a tree :)

 Cons: the wire is very brittle, and you have to be very delicate and careful when unraveling it and putting it on the tree. It takes a lot of patience because it tangles easily and will kink and bend and can break the wire. The 66 foot length was enough for our 9 foot tree. The app is amazing and had no problems connecting to my iPhone via Bluetooth and has a ton of preset patterns and colors and you can sync it to music automatically and create your own customizable pattern. These are great lights, and they are not too bright and perfect for our flocked Christmas tree. The only downside is just how brutal the wire is so we aren’t sure if they are going to last more than one Christmas once we take them off the tree. With the exception of the wire being so brittle, we are pleased with the lights and how many options we have using the smart phone app for these lights. It is a lot of fun to customize and play the preset combinations. These can be used for other holidays and have preset patterns for holidays such such as Easter, Fourth of July, Father’s Day, so they can be used not just for Christmas, but for other holidays as well, hope this review is helpful!
