I have neck issues and my go to pillow for many years has been the size small Temper-neck contour pillow. However, sometimes that pillow feels a little too firm/hard and none of my conventional soft pillows offer the support I need. I often end up with a sore neck when I use one of those.
So after reading reviews for this product, I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did! The company offers a 100 day trial period, so you really have nothing to lose. Keeping in mind all pillows take time to adjust to this one didn’t bother me my first night sleeping on it and I’m not even sure that I used the sides recommended for my sleep positions.
As much as I liked it the first night, I find the center is a little too high for my preference. I am more accustomed to my neck being supported and my head not raised. Even removing the extra padding, my head is slightly tilted upward at an angle where the tip of my head is higher than my neck. For this reason, I found myself switching back to my neck contoured pillow after a couple of nights.
I will still appreciate and use this pillow due to the softness and firmness of it because I really do love the feel of this foam. I also think this is much better for side sleeping than for back sleepers.
As I mentioned above there is a removable section of foam within the pillow. This is important to note because those with less broad shoulders and smaller frames will find it helpful to remove this section for a lower profile in the center where the head rests. See info in the instruction booklet.
My first night in I found this so comfortable. I fell right asleep. It keeps my neck straight enough so that it doesn’t hurt and also offers soft support on the sides of the head which is comforting and not at all hard or obtrusive. I am generally a back sleeper, but I also watched television on my side with it and was comfortable either way.
I am glad I took a chance and gave this a try. I truly recommended it to anyone who has neck issues but strongly suggest you consider removing the center piece of foam if it’s not comfortable at first. You can always replace it.
The thing I find the most impressive about this is the density of the foam and how soft yet supportive it is. I’m just blown away by it.
