    It was July 31st, 2019, my family and I were in Brooklyn, New York visiting my grandparents. We realized it was easier to fly there since it is a fourteen-hour drive from Georgia to New York. We figured we did not need to rent a car because we were either going to uber or drive my grandfather’s car (which is a 1998 Honda Accord). One afternoon we decided to go shopping, we got into my grandfather's car and we became aware that the AC was not working, keep in mind that it is ninety degrees outside. The mall was only ten minutes away, so we decided to go anyways. We sure regretted that, instead of taking ten minutes it took us about twenty-five because of New York’s traffic. At the end of the car ride we were all sweaty, uncomfortable, and never wanted to get back in that car. Because I am a genius, I went on Amazon and purchased a portable fan. It was a great purchase because the shipping was fast, affordable, the description was accurate, and the quality and functionality was great.
    I ordered two portable fans for $16.99 on July 31st and it arrived on August 2nd. We were lucky that the shipping was fast because we used that fan for the other five days that we were on vacation. Seventeen dollars can seem like a lot of money; however, I feel like we got our money's worth from those fans. If you think about it, we basically paid seventeen dollars for AC in the car. We also used the fans in my grandparents' house, which was also hot since they do not have central air. The size of the fan was also true to size. They were the perfect size, small enough to where we could hold and carry them and big enough for us to feel the air blowing.
    Unlike some other products you buy from Amazon the portable fans description was accurate. It said how it was perfect for both inside and outside, which was true because when we used the fan in and outside it worked great. It being portable was also accurate to description because the fans were light and small enough to carry around. They also did not try and hide the fact that the two d-cell batteries that are needed for the fans to work are not included. The quality and functionality were also great in this product. The fans had two different settings which was nice because it allowed us to be in control. Some people might think for seventeen dollars that the fans quality might not be good, but to us they worked great. They are made from good material and the air that blows from it is strong.
    In conclusion, I give the portable fans 5 stars. It really made our trip in New York better; we did not have to be sweaty and uncomfortable in my grandparent's car and house. The price of the fans is totally worth $16.99. The shipping was fast, the package only took two days to arrive and we were able to use it as soon as we got it. The description was accurate because the fans were portable, they had different settings, and they did not include the two d-cell batteries. The quality and functionality were also great. The fans cooled us down and they never stopped working. If you are looking to buy two good portable fans that are not super expensive, I believe that this item is for you. You will truly be satisfied and not regret buying these fans.

    The fan is small, but I have family on the Gulf Coast who lose power during hurricane season and I sent a few of these down to them in case power didn't return as quickly as they'd like. Anyway, they've used them and give two thumbs up. Small, but good, and battery operated for when the power goes out.

    Update: we had some record-breaking heatwaves again this year, and I decided I didn't want to have to choose between leaving fans in our very warm bathrooms, or taking them with me to various places where I had things to do, so I ordered more. The blue matches my accent wall, plus it makes it easier to see where I left it.

    I had never heard of these dandy little fans till I visited a family member that uses them. Seems like every family has the person that gets hot easily, and someone else shivering and saying the A/C is too cold. These are very helpful to her, and once I had seen them, I decided to order some as well.

    Here's what I like:

    *Lightweight and portable
    *Stable, not easily tipped over
    *Amazingly quiet
    *More economical than a larger fan

    The only downsides are small ones, and they're sort of the flipside of the upsides. Quiet means if you don't watch what you're doing, you'll walk away from that fan without turning it off, and you'll drain the batteries. And yeah. You have to buy batteries.

    These work for me because there are no children that live here. Kids would rip through the batteries like there's no tomorrow, and suddenly my economical solution would become unreasonably costly. Not a problem here. I use these fans for short amounts of time, such as when I am eating lunch, or if I'm watching TV and don't want the big fan to drown out the sound. After about an hour in the evenings, the house usually cools down to where I don't need it anymore, and so then I turn it off.

    The best thing, however, is putting one in each bathroom. Our cooling comes from window units, one in each bedroom and one in the kitchen, and so on a very hot day, the bathrooms, which have skylights, are way too hot. This fan doesn't do the job an a/c would do, but it does make a short bathroom visit bearable.

    Since they come two to a package, I bought two packages, or four fans. Our house is sort of average sized, and this does the job for us. I bought one package of a dozen batteries, and I said, That's it for the summer. When these batteries run out, we're done here. But so far, it looks like we'll make it to Labor Day and possibly beyond.

    The size of this is decent. Hardly noise at all, not bothersome. Works well, except at times it will go out. Do not leave it on for more than 30 minutes. It will go out on you. Requires 2 D size batteries.

    Please understand this is a small fan so don’t expect it to cool down a large space. It does cool down a small space adequately. I used it to cool my face down while outside on a hot and humid day cleaning my horse tack. It made a difference in my comfort level for the better. It’s portable, battery powered & sits upright in a level place.
