5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value and good products

I mainly bought this for the drill and drill bits because of how good the price was. The added accessories are ok but not the sturdiest of quality. The drill, however, is perfect. It’s powerful, not overly heavy and super easy to grip. The battery life is decent enough - I may buy another one just to ensure I always have one ready to go. Overall great product at an amazing price point

For the price and purpose for which I bought this drill set it has worked like a charm for the yard projects and house chores that I do. Sturdy tote bag keeps all the accessories and drill easy to use and store.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good basic set of tools for beginners

This is a nice basic set of tools. They are decent quality for home use but not durable enough for commercial use. The 20 volt battery line from Black + Decker makes for easy swapping if you stick with the power tools in this line. I have the weed wacker, circular saw, and this set. It is easy to keep multiple batteries in rotation which is necessary because the battery life is not great. I am happy overall with this purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT for basics or first-timers/Not good for professionals

REVIEW DISCLOSURE:
In no way, shape, or form am I a handy man expert. I'm just your typical "keeping up with the maintenance" homeowner and only recently getting into DIY projects. I made my purchase in 2019 and I feel now i have had it long enough to review. Hope this helps!

DRILL/CHARGER/BATTERY:
All of these work great and perform the job as needed. I couldn't tell you how long the battery last or how long it takes to charge. But I have yet to do something to where the battery dies on me. All are great for basic maintenance and beginners. Tip: i recommend the impact driver if you plan on doing a LOT of work or if you're into woodworking. Makes life easier.

STORAGE BAG/TAPE MEASURE:
The storage bag is pretty cheaply made and tore around the top zipper linings fairly quickly. I still have the bag but, overall, its plain (no pockets or anything) and its weak. The tape measure, I think, is also cheaply made but I guess because of its size it feels somewhat sturdy. Its not a long tape and it's not "TOO" flimsy but it also does the smaller jobs as needed.

PLIERS & ADJUSTABLE WRENCH:
I haven't really used the adjustable wrench but I know its pretty tiny. Not sure how useful it would be or if it will break on you. The needle nose pliers work great and get the job done as needed. Recently, the slip joint pliers came apart on me but I was able to put it back together. Its pretty sturdy and was working fine for a long time but I would say its pretty cheap if you plan on using it alot or are a pro.

UTILITY KNIFE/HAMMER:
The hammer is strong, sturdy, and gets the job done as needed. I think its just a bit smaller than most other hammers sold individually but it'll get basic jobs done. And it feels like it will last. The utility knife is pretty flimsy and the locking mechanism comes off fairly easily. I still have it. Hardly use it, but if you plan on using it a lot I recommend get a higher quality individual one elsewhere.

SCREWDRIVING BITS/DRILL BITS/NUTDRIVERS/MAGNETIC BIT HOLDER/SPADE BITS/HOLE SAWS:
The screwdriving bits work great. If your basic, or even a hobbyist, they will last. The general purpose drill bits work just fine too. I used about 3 different sizes and the smaller ones broke on me but I would say it was after a fair amount of time using them. Plus i extensively used them recently getting into woodworking as a hobby. I've yet to use spade bits or hole saws. They seem to be ok and pretty sturdy. I feel they will last but not sure how they will cut/drill. The nut drivers and magnetic bit holder work just fine and get basic jobs done.

SCREWDRIVERS:
I saved the worst for last. THESE THINGS SUCK. The rachet screwdriver broke on first use. I didn't even drop it. I was simply applying "typical" pressure and some mechanism snapped. Idk if its repairable but it happened a long time ago. I remember being angry but luckily I had another one (different brand) that I had around the house. The flat head and Phillips are useless. They are strong and would last.....if they were usable. The thickness of the flat head seems ridiculous. And the Phillips head too. I don't think I have found a screw head that would fit. I am about to donate them but, honestly, if they are all made that way...I don't think even the basic of basic projects/jobs could get done.

OVERALL:
I am very happy with this purchase. Pretty sure if you take all the good tools and purchase them individually you would still be saving with this purchase. Great for first time homeowners or perhaps a kid getting his own apt/place for the first time on his own. I know that professionals would probably bash this product but, again, I am happy with my purchase which is why I gave it an overall 4, not 5, stars.

Recently my old cordless battery finally gave out and will not hold a charge, it's an old NiCad and they are notorious for not holding a charge. I decided to go on Amazon to find a replacement battery, unfortunately it was $45-50 for a battery, so I figured it would be better to get a new cordless. I found the drill and the battery for around $45.00, but after scrolling down a bit I found this listing, and after reading all the positive and negative reviews I decide to give it a shot.
The order arrived a week ago, and once it arrived I gave the battery a full charge (3-4 hours), just like the manual had indicated. Today I finally decided to test the drill, and it performed very well. I drove 5, 3" wood screws thru a piece of 2X4, and there was no problem. Someone had wrote a review that they couldn't drive any screws, I'm willing to bet that they did not adjust the clutch. You need to start out at the lowest setting, once the clutch slips move to a higher setting until it does not slip. Next I tried a few of the drill bits thru the 2X4 and it worked fine, just got to remember to go a a steady pace, and back out every so often to clear the material. I didn't try any other tools that came with this kit, the reason it was stupid. They just ordinary tools if you can't use them right then don't buy this item.
The only "negative" I can leave on this product is the bag is very crappy. When I received the order I didn't think all the tools would fit in the bag, but it did with some extra room for a few more odd and ends. That's the plus side, however it lacks pockets and the fabric is terrible, some kind of 200 grade nylon (I work for a bag manufacture).
Over all, I like this item, and it was a good buy for the price. I was more interested in the cordless performance, torque, and battery longevity more than anything else. All the other accessories I already have, but for the price they were a nice feature, and a good back up. I only use my cordless a 4-5 a year so it's perfect for me, but if you are "pro" this is not for you. Go get a Dewalt, they are the best. I hope this helps someone.
