How to install the actuator ?

  1. The linear actuators are controlled by applying a 12VDC voltage.
  2. Black wire to the positive terminal and red wire to negative terminal will make it extend. To make it retract, reverse the terminal connections.
  3. The actuator has pre-installed limit switche inside, it cannot be adjustable.
  4. It can be stopped at any position, with self-locking function.It will hold its position when the power is off. It will auto stop when it reaches the end.

I used these actuators to fabricate a tilt and trim on a 50 year old outboard motor.
The actuators have worked great so far after about 2-3 months of use and 50+ extend retract cycles.
While the actuators are not in the water they do get splashed with water spray and seem to be sealed well, I may coat the seams with plasti dip or similar, but it doesn't really seem to be needed.

My only possible complaint would be that for my application these actuators are on the slow side, about 50% faster would be great, but my choices of actuators are limited by my required mounting location.

First, this doesn't come close to the rated load. It can barely move 75 pounds. Perhaps optimistically, I thought that it might hold 150 statically, but the shaft snapped after less than a minute while extended about 60%. Using it to lift a riding mower sleeve hitch.

Product is made in China and arrived a day late, despite opting to pay for faster service. Works but seems to strain well under the capacity of the advertised maximum lift.

Wish it were faster, but that's the trade off. The stronger they are, the slower they are. Used it for a power wheelbarrow I made. Easily lifts 3 adults sitting in the bucket.
