Bought this as stock to make holsters for random things. I'm not sure that this is kydex material but it seemed to form and work just fine so I didn't return it.

I used this product as a base stabilizer in some tote bags I had. I measured the base, cut the product with utility scissors, and for the tote bags without lining, I used industrial velcro to secure it to the bottom of the tote.

For a lined bag, I open the lining a little, slid in the new base, made a few more cuts to get the sizing perfect, and then sewed the lining shut again. I used the bag every day on vacation with a large camera in it and it held up perfectly!

So very happy! I have a lot left over for future bags…… or maybe I’ll find other uses for it!!!

I molded it to fit my 16" screens on my Garmin livescope to shade them from the sun. I tried several different glues that wouldn't hold, so I got some double sided tape which worked great. I also found that a hand held torch worked quicker than heat gun.

I collect vintage military surplus from around the world. I also pack and use many of the items on hikes and camping. My first few attempts look a bit rough but are usable. As I practice, my project are looking better. The machete was the last. The etool was the first. Oh I used a heat gun, metal yard stick, a solid rail on my porch, leather gloves and a piece of scrap wood. The rest was leather craft eyelets and snaps purchased previously from Amazon.
These are a great starting point for learning a new skill and for protecting your items. Highly recommend.

This particular kydex is junk. It's difficult to work with, sticks to itself when it shouldn't, and doesn't shape well. It also has a significant amount of shrinkage so if you cut it to size, you have to cut plenty of extra to allow for shrinkage, otherwise, you'll have to cut a new piece.
