About this item

Brand new original ADXL345 chip, quality assurance
According to the 16-bit two's complement format, it can be accessed through the digital interface SPI (3-wire or 4-wire) or I2C
ADXL345 is very suitable for mobile device applications. It can be used for tilt sensing applications while measuring static acceleration of gravity, and it can also measure the speed of vibration caused by dynamic added motion or caused. With its high resolution (4mg/LSB), it can measure changes in the inclination angle of about 0.25°. Use ADXL345 digital output timing acceleration, etc., no timing
With high resolution (13 bits) measurement up to ±16g. The digital output data is in 16-bit two-valued complement format, which can be passed through the I2C digital interface SPI (3-wire or 4-wire)
Communication method: IIC / SPI communication protocol
Up to ±16 g accelerometer with high resolution (13) measurement. Digital output

If you have a 3D printer and want to greatly improve the performance of the print quality, this is for sure your way to get the job done. There are a number of videos and web base help to figure out the wiring and process to interface these ADXL345 accelerometers to your printer to measure the frequencies and what process to include to cancel the vibrations out. By connecting the ADXL to a Raspberry Pi Pico, you can then connect to any other Raspberry Pi by USB connection to use this.

All in all a great product that greatly improves 3D print quality using Input Shaping. Well worth a full 5 Stars!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little accelerometer
Reviewed in the United States on April 2, 2021
I bought these to measure resonance levels from vibrations in a 3D printer (a feature in Klipper firmware). Hooked these up to a Raspberry Pi and they worked fine.
Basically, the firmware vibrates the parts back and forth at various frequencies and using this accelerometer it can determine which frequencies move the most (resonant frequencies). It can then compensate for this and remove "ringing patterns" caused by resonance.
The whole process worked fine using these accelerometers.

Great price for these as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars seems to be very sensitive to vibration

Used this product for variety of projects and experiments. In one project, I used it as a level sensor to build a balance beam with an Arduino Nano and DC motors with small fan blades. I noticed that the motor speed seemed to cause the Y-axis readings to vary dramatically, increasing the variability proportional to motor speed. Other than that, it is an inexpensive and useful sensor for many of my projects.

Worked easily and as expected for Klipper auto resonance tuning. 3 printers done for cheap when compared to cost of 1 board from Adafruit costing around 20$ each or Sparkfun

3.0 out of 5 stars It’s a good thing they send you 3

It’s hot and miss with these. Out of the initial 3, only one worked. I needed 2. The replacement pack sent to me had 2 that were good so out of the 6, only 3 worked. Out of the 3 that did work, 1 is reporting values way different than the other 2. I’m not sure if these values mean anything yet but once I get my 3D printer back up and running, I will test them with the input shaper. The other 2 I did test with input shaper led to the same results. If your needing more than one or two, I suggest ordering at least 2 packs. Out of 6 you ought to be able to get a few working and just return the duds

Got these for my Ender 6 to calibrate Klipper. I only needed one, but I guess I have spares now.
