5.0 out of 5 stars Just what this bartender needed!!
Reviewed in the United States on September 5, 2024
I’m a bartender at a live music venue.. we have music every day and some bands are just louder than ever. I not only wanted to save my ears from future issues, but also be able to work without my ears ringing for hours afterwards. These are perfect. I can still hear my customers, but it muffles the sound of the bands and helps keep me comfortable throughout my shift. The silicone is very comfortable and I thought it was really nice that it came with 3 interchangeable sized ear pieces. I have a couple (non traditional) piercings in my ear and the plugs still fit comfortably! I convinced my coworker to get some and she said “these are the s h i t”. Great value for money, would buy them over and over again!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fav out of all the loop options.

I own every style of loops. Even, The ones with the insert that you can remove. But Out of all of the styles these are by far my favorite. They are the most comfortable as well the most muting. I can still have a conversation with them in.
*They are not like noise canceling headphones, so if you are wanting something to “cancel” sound these are not it.

My only complaint is I have lost so many pairs of loops because of the case design. And now the case design is worse than before! They added a mold to hold them still inside the case. Which just makes it harder to get them in and close the tiny case.
- If the loop company will see this review I want to say people with autism often have bad fine motor skills, and your case design is beyond nonpractical.
But also your product has drastically changed my life for the better. And also has provided multiple opportunities to go to public outings that I was never able to go before unless I was heavily medicated. So now me and my husband can go do things he wants on the weekends. So we are huge fans of loops, just wish they were in target. So I can pick them up in days I left my house and forgot them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ear Plugs For People Who Hate Ear Plugs
Reviewed in the United States on July 23, 2024
I hate ear plugs. I've tried all kinds from the cheap foam earplugs to expensive custom molded earplugs. I use earplugs to block out noise while I'm sleeping. I'm a side and stomach sleeper and I toss and turn all night long.

The problem with every ear plug I've tried is I hate the pressure build up in my ears. When I turn on my side the pressure from my pillow against the ear plug is painful too. I've tried to cut the cheap expandable foam ear plugs in half to relieve pressure from inside my ear but nothing works. For me, wearing ear plugs are too painful, both inside of my ear and when laying on my side on my pillow.

I have never been able to get through the night wearing ear plugs... until now. I was shocked. Though I am 6' tall, I have small ear canals. Every ear plug I've tried is way too big. On my first night of sleep, I tried the Loop Quiet 2 Ear Plugs with the size small tips. Though there is always a bit of pressure when things are stuffed in your ears, for the first time in my life, I was able to sleep comfortably wearing these ear plugs on the first night. Then I tried the extra small and medium size ear plugs to test whether or not the small size was the perfect fit for me. The extra small did not create a good enough seal and the pressure from the medium size tips was unbearable, as has been my experience with other ear plugs.

Switching tips was easy and the ergonomics are excellent, very well designed and easy to insert and remove from my ears. I'm now getting used to wearing the Loop Quiet 2s every night. There's a bit pressure inside of my ears caused by these plugs and, when I lay on my side, my pillow pushes against these plugs too but it's bearable. I'm amazed.

So why do I give the Loop Quiet 2 Ear Plugs four out of five stars? The "Quiet" part in the name isn't very "quiet." These ear plugs make ambient noise "quieter" but not quiet. I get a good seal with these ear plugs but I still hear everything, from the compressor of my air conditioner, to a car passing by on the road with closed windows, to my breathing. I highly doubt the 24db noise reduction claim. My guess is that there's more likely a 10 - 15db noise reduction. Still, the performance of these ear plugs are impressive enough to hush out enough noise to make them worth wearing.

If there is a way for Loop to come out with Version 3.0 that's even quieter without causing any discomfort whatsoever, they'll have a home run. As of now, the Loop Quiet 2 Ear Plugs are highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for racing motorcycles
Reviewed in the United States on September 2, 2024
This is my second set, stole my first set from my wife and lost them. I use them under my helmet on race weekends and they definitely bring the noise down to a safe level. They are super easy to put in and take out. Four ear canal sizes to choose from, and a nice simple carying case. Not quite as good at blocking sound as foam plugs but close, they'll last longer and they are easier to put in

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for side sleepers, with a slight tweak
Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2024
Not only am I a side sleeper, but I also clench my teeth at night so earplugs HURT and have many times woken me up. I used to cut soft, small foam earplugs to make them smaller, then I tried Happy Ears (would have likely worked except for the hard "stem" that I tried to cut out but even the little left over was too stiff), and then a coworker recommended these. I wasn't too sure because of the large loop BUT that large loop is apparently (imo) optional. I use the ear plugs as seen in the phone (no loop) and remove them easily in the morning with some craft tweezers. I was them with the sink plugged (in case they fall out of my hands) using just my regular hand soap and store them in a "baby" washcloth next to my bed. They're working beautifully! Very soft, flexible, and easy to remove!

1.0 out of 5 stars They feel like hard little nuts stuck in my ear, and don't cut the noise as much as I expected
Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2024
I was really looking forward to these, but I got them today and tried them out, and these just aren't right for me. They feel like hard little nuts stuck in my ear, and don't cut the noise as much as I expected. My ears are normal size ears. I swapped the Medium plugs for the Small plugs. They do "fit," by they're hard as nails. I don't see how anybody can sleep in these. I compared them with my Bose Quiet Comfort ear buds and there's just no comparison at all. The Bose QC ear buds are really comfortable, they feel like clouds in your ear, and they block more noise. I don't use them for sleep. If I need ear plugs for sleep the foam ones are superior. If what you need for work and writing is noise reduction, save up and buy the Bose ear buds.
