    The SQUAREs that plug into the phone are cumbersome at best. This freestanding one was excellent on linked to our phone app. It worked great for a fund raiser we did January 1st. In fact, we purchased a 2nd one so we have 2 going at the same time.

    This is very easy to use and set up, I had no issue with the function of it, it is quick and only take a few seconds to make a transaction. The quality is spot on.
    Love the size of it and it works on my iPhone and iPad.

    So if you’re just a casual user, you can accept contactless payments with just the Square app on your phone. So this isn’t really needed. That said, setup was incredibly easy and works as advertised.
