    I bought these because of a medical incident that left a big scar on my arm. My doctor told me to keep it covered in the sun, so after trying another brand that felt too tight, I tried these. I only wear one on the left arm, but it fits nicely. My arms aren't thick due to being run down after a long hospital stay, so if you're muscular, I'd get a bigger size than large, but for me right now it's fine. They stay up on my bicep even through the night when I'm sleeping, feel comfortable, and protect from the sun. I don't use the thumb holes as my arm is a bit too long, but I tried them once and it seemed fine. I've washed them a few times and the looks and material has held up so far.

    Update 10/20/24: I bought a pair of the cream colored sleeves to go with the flag ones I bought. For some reason, they seem slightly tighter even though they are the same size. Weird. If they hold up for awhile longer, I'll probably get more of the flag ones.

    I ordered a large pair and I’m 6’ 180, w/large build, so the sizing is about perfect for me. Sleeves are plenty long enough to cover half of my hands, extending up to just over my biceps. Elastic binding on the upper end of the sleeves keeps them comfortably in place. And there’s a handy relief slot for my thumbs to extend out. They’re comfortable & great to use when doing yard work, especially if you need sun protection when doing weed whacking, and/or need to handle organic matter that might contain poison sumac or ivy oils. Mine are florescent lime so I also use them when I cycle in the early morning to provide a comfortable extension of my short sleeve jersey to buffer the chilly air. And after warming up, they fold up nicely and stow easily in the rear pockets of my cycling jersey. And they launder easily as well.

    I wasn't sure how these would fit or if they would stay up, but they weren't tight, and did not slide down. I like these because I would always scrape up my arms pruning & gardening. These work great for me.

    Just got my FARMER'S DEFENSE Sleeves yesterday and tried them on to be sure I had ordered the correct size (I did). Earlier this summer, I made my own version out of old tube socks, because I was constantly getting my arms scratched working outside. Then I saw these. I love the way the feel and appreciate that they're made out of recycled materials. Although I haven't used them yet, I can already tell that they are thicker and more protective than my home made version. The 4-star rating is because I haven't actually used them outside yet.

    These sleeves are the best thing that’s ever happened to me! (Well maybe not THE best thing lol but I’m very excited about them!) I work at a horse rescue, feeding 40+ horses multiple times per day, so I handle a lot of hay, which I’m allergic to & always get contact hives from. In the summer it’s been a battle between overheating in long sleeve layers & protecting my arms. These sleeves allow me to wear a tshirt & still protect my arms. They are comfortable & even slightly cooling & protect against all the little pokes & scrapes of handling hay, etc. I’m thrilled not to be constantly itchy!! Since they cover your hand but leave your fingers free, I’ve found I don’t have to wear gloves, which makes all my other task that take nimble fingers easier. Saves me from the constant on/off with gloves. They wash easily & are light weight so you can stuff them in your pocket without bulk. The elastic at the bicep stays up well. And there’s the added benefit of sun protection, so it saves me from constantly reapplying sunscreen. These are a huge win & I highly recommend them. I’m obsessed. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.

    These are awesome and exceeded my expectations. Besides them saving my arms from cuts and scratches I find myself leaving them on in the hot weather because how comfortable and cooling they are. I live in the south and get some weird looks but I knew if they knew how awesome these sleeves are then they are just jealous that they don’t have them. I’ve also been soaking them in different oils like mint and lavender to keep bugs away so it’s so much easier that spray bug spray on me all the time. Only complaint is how dirty they get but that is my own fault for wear them every time
    I go outside to work so I just need to get a bunch more. I did get the seaweed design ones and was worried they looked to close to cannabis but as soon as I got them it was obvious that it was seaweed lol, so I don’t have to worried about that wearing them in public, and I LOVE SEAWEED so I think the design is amazing and unique!!! 10/10 would buy again even though I think they are a little expensive but they are more than worth the price.

    I work as a gardener so I need protection on my arms from irritating plants but don't want to be hot in lots of layers. These sleeves are great as they stay in place well and the elastic at the top doesn't irritate my skin. They also give me great protection from the sun and wind. I have purchased multiple pairs in different designs because I like the look and feel of them. I even bought my mom a pair so she can protect her skin when out working in her own yard. They wash and dry easily and only one pair has even shown any wear so far. Easy to keep a pair in my work bag or even in my car.

    I bought the sleeves for protection for my arms from scratches during yard work and they do help protect my skin and do stay in place on my arms and the material is soft on the skin, but, they sure do not seem to have a cooling factor to them. I do live on the NC coast and our summers are hot and humid. I avoid yard work during the late morning, mid-day and early afternoon but even in the hours of less direct sunlight, these sleeves were hot and made me feel considerably hotter wearing them than not wearing them, therefore I was dissapointed in the sleeves. I think a light-weight cotton, button down, long sleeve shirt would be cooler than these sleeves.
