    I had been looking for affordable, first time microscope for my 6 years old. I had returned 2 microscopes before because they were a bit hard to use for beginners and the image quality wasn't worth the price. This is my 3rd attempt buying microscope and we are so satisfied. It is easy to use, good value for the money. It is also so lightweight that my daughter can bring it everywhere and work independently after it is fully charged. It is mean as a stereo microscope, not compound microscope, BUT I have tried to put the glass slide with specimen and the result was amazing. It is definitely the best 1st microscope with the best price.

    Perfect for looking at the finer details of coins (which my kids use it for).
    They've also used it to look at leaves, a dead ant (ha), and other small items.

    The fact that it can be charged up and then moved/taken places is a definite plus.
    Easy to adjust, focus, etc.

    Bought this for the grand kids - this is so much fun. There is a large screen where they can all look at the items! Plugs right into my PC and we can save pictures. Great magnifier!! Very easy to use and enjoy. Great price. Would recommend.

    appears to provide about 10x magnification through lens without phone or computer. Good for reading mint marks on coins.

    this item most definately does not zoom to 1000times - forget about it - if this gets to 100times zoom, ill be surprised.
