    Love this scale for home use. It comes with all the tools you could possibly need to weigh, carry, transport and minimize spillage of different powders and small materials while accurately measuring them to the mg. It’s a little too big for using mobile which is important to note, but it’s great for at home. It also comes with a wall plug in addition to battery for power which is awesome. Overall the functionality, appearance, reliability and accuracy are perfect and I would highly recommend this scale.

    Consistent results. No drifting. Measures to .00 grains. Accuracy is good compared to another scale for reference. Looks good. I like the external power source. Check weights seem ok, 20g each. Not a fan of the pan because it’s plastic and static electricity but my other aluminum powder pans work well. Decent buy so far for reloading. I’ll update if anything changes.

    I'm no expert, but I've played with the Maxus Digital Milligram Scale enough to appreciate its strengths and weaknesses.

    It's very easy to calibrate and use. The display is easy to read. It seems to be accurate and consistent to about +/- 0.005 grams, so you might think of it as a "centigram scale". But even after being freshly calibrated, it measures its own calibration weights as 20.002 grams - each of them, repeatedly. I weighed a series of other objects, with very similar results: the last digit simply wasn't reliable.

    If you become experienced with any measurement tool, you can eventually learn to correct for its flaws and eventually find ways to consistently measure with accuracy beyond its design. But given my experience, I wouldn't depend on it if you really care about accuracy to the milligram. For that, you ought to spend about ten times the cost of the Maxus.

    Haven't used it much, just took it out of the box to check things out and weighed a bit of salt. The weight changed by as much as 30mg (0.030g) with the lid open vs closed, that's still as accurate as most low end gunpowder scales. Given the price it is better than expected since it would need to be a bit more stoutly built to avoid this. Closed it was pretty consistent as long as I was careful closing it, 1mg change up or down taking the same weighed amount on and off opening and closing the cover multiple times. Cover open it is sensitive to air movement...that's why there's a cover. The small size and light weight make it very susceptible to small movement jarring, although the small size was what was appealing to me. The sensitivity of a mg scale is just too finicky for such a small, light duty piece.
    Great for the price and acceptable for my use. But if you really need mg precision plan on buying something a bit larger and costlier.
    I give 5 stars because I feel it's absolutely what I expected. And great for what I need.

    Most the time when you're looking for a digital scale that has three digits. After the decimal, you're going to spend three to five times as much as this one and not get any better of a quality unless you're spending an arm and a leg for the money. Great product. Everything has been fairly accurate. Dollar bill is supposed to weigh 1 g. It is weighed .998 or 1.001 You can't really get too much closer than that without spending a lot of money and with it being that accurate for as little as it cost. Great purchase! I would even buy another one as a gift for a friend that needs one or I would buy the newer version and either give the newer version to them or possibly give them the one I have and keep the newer version cuz there was a newer version option when I bought this one and it was only $10 more. It was very tempting to go ahead and buy but I was on a budget as it was the end of a paycheck so I went ahead and I bought the cheaper one. I have not had any problems with it yet. The fact that I can plug it into the wall rather than just go on battery alone makes a big difference because it generally doesn't leave the spot where it's at. Anyway, the fact that I can way out x amount of items and tell it it's that many items and then just dump a handful in and it tells me how many are there is even cooler. I haven't used that feature quite yet but having that ability is awesome

    I make custom swaged bullets so accuracy is a very high priority for me. Weighing core and jackets on a beam scale only gives me weight accuracy to within 0.1 grains. This is good but I wanted more accuracy. This scale provides an accuracy of 0.01 grains. For the price point this scale is hard to beat.

    Pros: The scale will weigh at least for what I’m doing up to 800 grains and I am generally only concerned with weights from 1.00 grains to up to 250.00 grains. This scale does this well. When it turns on it takes a few seconds to “warm up” but then it ready to go. It’s fast and accurate. I’ll weight cores and jackets together to get the exact weight I want and when measuring charges it gives me that little bit of extra accuracy. It’s great because I can use the powder pan from my RCBS scale and zero it out instantly. I don’t have to mess around. For any reloading it’s great!!! It’s easy to use and it will weigh anything in a variety weight standards that are selectable. I have some check weights I use and this scale is right on! If you’re using the metric system it’s great and so is the American standard in grains. It’s small and lightweight and takes of very little space on my bench. Battery life so far is long. I have the original batteries in it and I’ve had it for about a month and a half and use it on a regular basis.

    The cons: The scale is super sensitive to the slightest variation and if there’s any breeze from a vent or a fan over the pan it’ll throw different numbers at you. Use the cover and close it if you’re experiencing this. It’ll get rid of that outside influence. That is the only negative thing about the scale. It’s manageable and an easy fix. It comes with 2 pans. If you’re using it to weigh powder use your pan from your beam scale because the powder likes to stick to the pan from static.
