Used the older generations for a long time. This little guy locks on satellites quick and the compass calibrated with zero issues in Ardupilot. I am so glad i found a winner, Ill be using this one in all future builds.

Wired up to F405V3, sent/received sat data within minutes and locked onto location. Does what it does.

Worked as advertised. Works best outside or inside near windows. It's GPS signals, so this makes sense.
Used this with a Speedy Bee 405 Flight controller and 3D printed model glider. typically connected to 14-18 satellites outside.

1.0 out of 5 stars 121 works terribly, go with a different model.
Reviewed in the United States on September 12, 2024
It gets 3-6 sats at most and never gets a 3d lock, and rarely has a good enough signal to lock even 1 sat, so it's useless as a gps device for a drone.

The other 2 have decent reviews so I'm gonna try them next but I'm pretty disappointed in the bz121. I got the smallest because its going on a toothpick size drone. Guess I'm gonna have to adapt.

3.0 out of 5 stars Was'nt working at first...
Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2024
After doing a bit of research. I ended up shielding the wires in between the module and the flight controller. Also ended up relocating it as far away as possible from the VTX antenna. Basically from the back of the quad to the front above the flight camera. This is on a 3" build. Plugged in the USB cable to the flight controller and left the antenna pointed out the window all night to populate the almanac. In the morning, was picking up about 17 - 20 satellites while plugged in to USB. Make sure to unplug your VTX and or camera in case the USB powers them up on your build and you decide to do the same.
After doing this, only took a few seconds to acquire enough satellites to arm and fly.
Getting about 8 -10 satellites while flying with an HDOP value at 2.1 - 2.7.
"A HDOP value of 1 or below would give you an accuracy of about 2.5 meters."
GPS Return to Home works great.
