I have only purchased Mirka sanding discs for at least the last 5 years. They stay in place and last twice as long as any others that I have ever used.

I like the extra holes for dust extraction. Does it really work? I suppose, it could theoretically.
Mirka outlast any of those hrdwr store off brands. And comes out a lot cheaper this way in quantity.
Slight negative is, a little harder to get this style disc perfectly centered on the pad. But overall great disc.

these are very well-constructed. they last a good while and more importantly, they do not just fall off my sander like so many of the cheap brands do.

Works like sandpaper should. Used it outside don’t know how good the dust collection would work with the little holes

5.0 out of 5 stars Impressive Selection Of Grits
Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2023
Random orbit sanders have become the go-to sanding tool in most contractor's arsenal. They are versatile based upon the sandpaper you use and they don't take up much space. Thus, the disc grit becomes important to maximize the tools efficiency. I am impressed with the wide range of grits Mirka offers. Most big box stores limit grit options for these tools because of shelf space competition with other sandpaper types. The roughest grit I can usually find is 80 and the finest 220. Mirka offers 40 all the way up to 800! Not that I'd want to use my RO for automotive finishes, but 800 is good enough for a fine finish (also grit type dictates application). Another confounding issue is the difference in older ROs VS newer models. I do have a 5-hole RO and 2 8-hole ROs. I hate having to hunt around for the matching sandpaper and often will just poke holes in the paper to match those that don't line up. These discs sidestep the problem by providing many smaller holes that still offer good grit coverage while allowing good suction to eliminate airborne dust. Another oft overlooked feature is a robust carton to keep the discs stacked neatly and easily dispensable. Big box stores offerings are usually thin card stock boxes that become collapsed once you use half of the carton's contents. I wish the big abrasive manufacturers understood that contractor's tools live a rough and tumble life in the back of the truck. The price for these is also very competitive. Enjoy the fine finishes you will achieve.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great discs, Made in Finland!
Reviewed in the United States on February 27, 2023
The first thing to be excited about is these are neatly marked "Made in Finland" on the back of them, which is just automatic excitement to see anything made in another place than you know where. The sanding holes I'm guessing are more of a universal design. I have a 5" Makita orbital sander which has less, but bigger holes for air/dust to go through. I don't notice any difference, and the smaller and spread out holes maybe would actually provide a better overall even sanding, but then you're not doing precision sanding anyway are you because you're using an orbital sander to make it seem like you're sanding with the grain!

While these are a little costly, they feel good and attach well and firm. I chose 150 grit since they only come in certain grits and 150 is a median that I could go from coarse to finished pretty well. If I had a preference, I wish these had the option of a larger multi-pack. It's always of benefit to have a variety from coarse to fine to cover whatever job you may need them for. If I'm doing something furniture-wise, I want fine, if I'm gonna do a deck, I'd be happy leaving off on something coarse.
