    These turned out to be very well made, even though, for some reason, I expected junk to show up. :-) It didn't cause any damage, but they did ship without much protection between each bit, but I can't notice any sort of damage. They are sharp and quite true as far as wobbling goes in my drill press. I use a ton of half-inch drills on steel, so I thought a three pack would suit me well. If I experience any trouble with these, as far as lack of durability, I will update this review. Otherwise, I am happy and they are doing their job. FYI, I drill, steal at slower speeds, and use plenty of lubrication.

    I ordered these drill bits because it's my most often used size (1/8'') and the one I tend to lose or break most often. These drill bits feel solid. I haven't tested them in any tough material like stainless steel yet, but they drill through hard woods like butter. These come with a plastic case to store them in which is a bonus. I wouldn't hesitate to buy these when I run out. Great bits!

    Background: I'm a machinist.
    These are not as "hard" as the expensive bits I buy for 3x the price. That's okay though, so long as you aren't expecting to work with harder metals.

    I drilled through some blocks of aluminium and mild steel no problem. A plate of pre-hard O2 steel dulled the edge right away.

    The other problem is that they are put into a plastic tube with a lot of extra space, and nothing to keep them from touching eachother. You can hear them rattling around when I picked up the package. This means that the edges of the bits were dinged and worn down when I received them. This isn't an issue with the shipping - it's an issue with the product packaging from the manufacturer. They just need to place a small piece of foam inside the box to stick the bits is place.

    Overall, for the price, I'll keep buying these for the applications they are appropriate for.

    These bits are short like jobbers bits but are made from cobalt with a 135 degree cutting angle which augments metal removal during drilling of hard metals such as stainless steel. They are delivered in a storage pouch that you can see the bits for size selection. Having used one of the drills to place some pop rivets I can state the bit cut flawlessly for 18 holes in 1/4" angle irom without bit failure. The buts get very hot when used even at slow speeds. I like the bits ans the smooth holes they are producing. Ample supply and cost effective with 13 bits per package, having spares always available in this common size.

    You get a baker's dozen (13) of these 1/8" Inch cobalt drill bits, and in my quick tests on a few different materials (softwood, hardwood, and sheet metal), these bits performed well. They drove straight and boreholes that were true. The cobalt construction increases heat resistance compared to regular steel bits, which can increase longevity. I also like that they came in a small plastic box, making it easy to keep them handy and organized. A+

    You get a baker's dozen (13) of these 1/8" Inch cobalt drill bits, and in my quick tests on a few different materials (softwood, hardwood, and sheet metal), these bits performed well. They drove straight and boreholes that were true. The cobalt construction increases heat resistance compared to regular steel bits, which can increase longevity. I also like that they came in a small plastic box, making it easy to keep them handy and organized. A+

    These bits are finely machined with extremely sharp flutes. They come well oiled in a handy plastic storage box. I still use imported bits I acquired decades ago and the quality back then was significantly lower than US made bits. I can't discern any difference between these bits and the best domestic brands. They are an example of how far the quality has come. Very good value. Keeping them cutting as new for a long time depends on several variables, such as how well the user controls the heat while drilling and whether cutting lubricants are used.

    Dinged them a star because they really want a pilot hole to get started. Other than that, I have no complaints and they are sitting in my toolbox waiting to be used. Price seems in line with other 1/2" cobalt bits.
