5.0 out of 5 stars Best OTF I own
Reviewed in the United States on December 4, 2024
Best OTF knife I own! I have several OTF knives some of which cost hundreds. they often fail on the deployment with the blade not catching the lock, but not with this one! It has yet to fail catching the lock and has worked flawlessly. The only thing I wish I could change is the grip size, I wish it was 0.5” longer to fit my hand better. Other than that it is an absolute perfect product. Don’t think twice on this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars It has that satisfying feel you are looking for, fidget factor win

Most guys know what its like to get a crappy OTF with a weak spring. This thing hits just right, I cannot speak to longevity but it "feels like" firing off my Microtech or Benchmade OTF. Great pocket fidget and functional as a box cutter.
The grip tape is seriously aggressive but with some wear it should chill out.
No slop in the actuating switch and impressively minimal blade play for an OTF, my microtech has more wobble.
I am happy I took the chance on a $40 box cutter and would recommend to anyone who needs a razor blade and enjoys the feel of an OTF to play with in their pocket.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not a normal replacement blade
Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2024
Great idea but not quite ready yet. The blade retention gets tired quickly resulting it the blade sliding out when in your pocket, not what you want, it comes with a five or ten pack of replacement blades and being they are so cheap I went to change it out with a name brand run of the mill blade, the machining of the two half circles found at the top of a blade are your catch points on the blade, problem is the normal blades are a bit to large forcing you to use what comes with it, that alone would have kept me from getting this product, now add to that the blade slides out when in your pocket and it’s just not safe, at times you’d open it and the blade would fly about 3/4 the way out on its own. Save your money.

5.0 out of 5 stars SOLID.

This auto box knife is awesome! I’ve had mine in daily work use for at least 2-3 months now with probably close to over 200+ ejection/retractions and it still feels fantastic! The fidget ability of this knife is definitely a plus, it cuts well, and it has an ejection safety so you don’t accidentally send a blade at Mach 1 into your leg. The finish is nice and a solid color for EDC. The grip tape is a bit rough and can get annoying sometimes but I still run it. The clip is sturdy but quite stiff so it may take more pressure than a normal pocket knife to clip onto back pockets or other things. The blade fitment does vary brand to brand, but I just notch mine barely with some pliers and they click right in easily (I run custom blades from Stingertools for a nice aesthetic)
Overall would recommend, absolute steal for under $40.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun fidget tool, would not do heavy work with it.
Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2024
the external build is nice, no machining marks on the aluminum handle, leather is nicely inlayed into the grip, there is a nice machining pattern to the blade holder.

    cons:
    1. on the smallish side. I wear a size medium glove and it's a 3 finger grip. 4 if you place you index finger onto the blade holder.
    2. as an OTF and box cutter, the locking mechanism is not the strongest. The blade holder design make exchanging blades quick it is not very strong.
combine the small size, weaker locking mechanism, and blade hold, I will not be doing any hard tasks with this knife.
    3. the initial action was gritty and hard; compounded with the smaller grip. I disassembled the knife and polished:
    a. the bars holding the springs were very rough. they slide on a track on the inside of one of the handle scales. sand and polish these brackets
    b. sand and polish the track (right handle scale) that the blade holder rides in (right hand scale)
    c. switch was gritty - on the handle scales where small tab pops out of the place and engages the toggle swith wa sand and polished.
a little bit* of lIght greasing and the action became one handed

Not sure I would use it for hard tasks, but a fun fidget toy/tool once you tune the action.

The one handed operation makes this really easy to pull out of my pocket and use while holding something with my other hand. The grip is really rough and has a lot of traction. Opens and closes easily and the clip is strong and holds to my pocket securely.

3.0 out of 5 stars Lasted 3 weeks was really good for that time
Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2024
Really nice action and function, perfect size. It lasted three weeks of daily use opening packages for 8 hours. It split open on back because it is held by small pins that are just friction holding 3 pieces of metal, it let go and the outside piece peels away. It worked so good I might buy another one and try to modify it to not break

5.0 out of 5 stars SO CLOSE TO PERFECTION
Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2024
Very nearly perfection. I'd decrease the psi needed to engage the blade by like maybe 15%. I'd increase the pressure of the lever needed to release the blade a bit, feels a tiny bit weak. I'd make the pocket clip a little deeper carry, maybe 3mm? I'd also 0use a touch less aggressive grip tape, it's nice in the hand but not the pocket. All in all, it's pretty amazing tho, don't let my nitpicks keep you from buying this, it is a great tool. Also: there's a 1* rating about blades not fitting. SK5 is not a blade size but rather a type of steel. Don't try to modify this with a grinder, just get the right ones.
