5.0 out of 5 stars Looks great to me. Plus an idea about blade storage.
Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2024
This compact knife seems tightly assembled and the hinged design is great. The blade attachment also seems tight—pretty strong spring. One review I saw complained of the blade becoming loose. I'm not seeing any sign of that so far.

Nice touch by Amazon, including a plastic blade cover. I wish they'd included an extra one. It's an easy thing to lose.

The knife's belt clip is super tight and might be difficult to use. If I need to carry it I'll use the belt-loop of the synthetic fabric sheath that comes with the knife.

Not storing blades inside the handle keeps the size down. But I found replacement blades that help with storage. The vendor is "M MEEPO" and the product title on Amazon at this moment is "50-Pack Utility Knife Blades, Blackened SK-2 Razor Blades for Box Cutter Utility Knife." The package contains several small plastic boxes with each containing a few blades. It happens that both the knife and one of the small plastic boxes fit inside the sheath. Solves the problem for me. Luck of the draw. See photo.

Thumbs up for this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars It does the job
Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2024
Works nicely. Easy to grip. Feels a bit on the heavy side. Comes with a black soft belt case. You have to push the button to open the blade and again to close the blade. It's a little difficult to do it one handed, at least for me. It's bigger than I thought it would be and it doesn't fold up as small. As you can see the back of the blade sticks out making it bulky.
It cuts well and it's easy to change the actual blade of the knife. Seems durable, but I use it in an office occasionally, so not exactly putting it through any rigorous testing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good useful knife for the workshop or garage.

The knife uses razor blades so replacement blades are easy to find. It is a basic utility knife but it folds up so it is easier to use than the traditional razor blade knives. This is not a fancy tool, but it is a simple device and easy to use.

It would also work as a stocking stuffer for Christmas.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for the Price

I actually trust the Amazon Basics brand. this was actually the cheapest box cutter i could find and since it was an amazon basics i didnt hesitate to buy it. I dont really push this knife to its limits since i use it for light work but i do work around wet surfaces moist and water and hasnt rust includes the blade. Its actually a somewhat heavy knife not in a bad way but as in its not going to break so easily and feels like great quality material.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hefty but doesn't store extra blades
Reviewed in the United States on May 1, 2024
I was impressed with the obvious quality and sturdiness of this utility knife. However, there were a couple of features that one should be aware of before purchasing. The first is that it does not store any extra blades the way most of the less expensive ones do. Keep in mind that the one blade that it does hold can be reversed. The second, unlike what is shown in one of the videos, it is not a one-hand operation. Maybe if the bolt holding the blade were looser it might be, but out of the box it takes one hand to depress the release button and another to extract the blade. If you can get past those two things then this is a great utility knife for the money. One final comment - it comes in a very nice canvas pouch with a belt loop and a velcro closure. So you have two ways to attach it to your belt. You can use the metal clip on the knife itself, or you can keep it in the pouch which would stay on your belt.

Smooth opening, razor sharp, button lock very fun to play with, light weight, small and compact and can fit in hand easy, like no complaints genuinely, bought this for work and didn’t wanna carry around a whole pocket knife so this is a great alternative

5.0 out of 5 stars this thing is much more than a box knife
Reviewed in the United States on May 20, 2024
I looked at this a couple of times and passed it off when it claims its made of aluminum, Aluminum is lite but not up to rough use in tools. I ended up buying one on chance when wifey says, " If you don't like it you can return it". Bingo The first thing I noticed was how heavy it was, although the colored handle is aluminum, the rest of the knife is steel so it is really described wrong. I'm thinking 400 series Stainless steel because it is a weak magnetic. At ant rate this thing is really built for something more than just opening boxes. I'm doing window tint and it works great trimming the film.
