These are so fun to play with. Great to go around the house and yard and zoom in on literally everything. My 8 and 12yo loved them for Christmas as a stocking stuffer. Adults love them, too! The picture is great, too once you get focused, just have to be sure it stays still- like with any microscope. It even comes with a few slides! Only complaint is that I wish it came with a hard case bc the flashlight will turn on and you won’t even know it when you’re carrying it. Otherwise, a toggle on/off instead of a button.

My eight year old niece absolutely loved this gift. She had no trouble focusing it and enjoyed looking at everything in her world close up. Some things that look ordinary to the naked eye really are extraordinary when magnified!

Great for what it is! It is a cheaper, portable field microscope. Only has so much zoom, but what it does have is pretty good. I don't understand why people say it's hard to focus, it really isn't, it's quite easy to use. The slides are a nice way for you to understand how the magnification and focus knobs work best for you and what to expect to see.

Best optics will come from a steady hand or stationary placement. You will lose the focus if you move it - it's not a stationary microscope, it won't work exactly like one. All of that being said, I am an adult who likes to see all the little things that make up all the big things, so the focusing was easy for me. Children will more than likely need help and some patience with a potential learning curve.

Otherwise it's a great and compact way to see the smaller things out in the world!

Our 10 year old loves bringing this on walks and to different places to observe things closely and quickly. Works surprisingly well, and just as well, if not better, than our tabletop microscope.

I was excited to receive this item. It was packaged well and came with a lovely case. It even included a few prepared slides and a lense wipe. Looked good. So I bought a battery,put it in but nothing. The light went on, but no image below the microscope could be brought into focus. Very disappointing. The manufacturer may want to look into quality control where these are being assembled, as this microscope clearly had been assembled in less than desirable conditions as lint was left BEHIND the lens, not in a spot where you could clean it off. It seems that all this company's efforts were put into the exterior "staging", and not in how well this equipment worked. As stated, very dissappointing.
