    These are not actually filings. They are better! They are very small steroid shapes which are very consistent in size. They are very clean and not dusty. Excellent quality and nicely packed.

    These come as small iron bits. Not exactly what you'd get when you actually take a file to iron, they're larger than that. Pretty consistent sizing though.

    They came in a small baggy that looked a little rusty on the inside. Poured them out into a glass jar tbough and they were perfectly clean with no signs of rust on them at all so it was just some fine dust that oxidized. No big deal at all.

    It cam a little under weight, about 15oz bag included. Seller was more than happy to credit me the difference which was nice. Would be even better if they just came properly weighed in the first place though.

    Yes this is a jar of iron filings. Pretty simple. Worked well for a school magnet project. The jar seals well which is good for keeping these from going everywhere!
