5.0 out of 5 stars Exceeded All Expectations for DIY Projects!

I recently used the LEXIVON 1/2-Inch Drive Click Torque Wrench (LX-184) for a series of DIY projects, including torquing suspension bolts, frame bolts, calipers/brakes, struts, and control arms, all to manufacturing specs. This tool has truly exceeded my expectations in every way.

At first, I was skeptical about the price, but after multiple uses, I can confidently say it's worth every penny. The wrench is incredibly durable and shows no signs of wear, even after tackling some tough jobs. The accuracy of the torque readings is spot-on, providing me with the confidence that I'm tightening everything to exact specifications—even my wife was surprised by the accuracy.

The adjustment mechanism is smooth and intuitive, and the audible click when reaching the target torque is a lifesaver, ensuring I don't over-tighten any components. The ergonomic design, with its comfortable and firm grip, makes the tool easy to handle, even during long sessions of mechanical work. I especially appreciate the handle's design—its round tube shape transitions into a more smoothed rectangular form, offering a higher moment of inertia in the direction of torque, which enhances control and precision.

If you're looking for a reliable, high-quality torque wrench for your DIY or professional projects, I highly recommend the LEXIVON LX-184. It's well-made, user-friendly, and perfect for any mechanical work. This tool delivers on all fronts.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super Nice and Premium Feel

I just got the LEXIVON Inch Pound Torque Wrench (1/4-Inch Drive), and I have to say, I’m really impressed. Right out of the box, it feels super nice and premium. The materials feel sturdy, and it definitely has a high-quality look that you don’t always find in tools at this price.

The black finish is not only sleek but also seems durable, while the bright yellow numbers and lines make it so much easier to read the measurements. The dual scale is clear, and the calibration feels spot on. It has a solid feel in my hand, which gives me a lot of confidence when doing engine work.

Honestly, this wrench outperforms other big box brands I’ve tried in the past. It’s comfortable to use for longer sessions, which is a huge plus for me.

Overall, I think this torque wrench is fantastic. It works really well and looks great too. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable and high-quality torque wrench for personal use or engine work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice and a step up from my old one.

Easily read, easy to use. Nice and long for extra leverage. Works as described. It will mainly be used for tire rotations but I like that it covers a lower range so it can be used for torquing intakes or heads.

I keep this in my truck for roadside tire changes.
Easier to deal with than the digital wrenches.
Just a physical and audible click and you’re done.
Keep it simple and reliable. No batteries to die out when you need it.
It’s less of a loss if it gets stolen out out my truck.
The digital wrench stays in the shop.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent wrench!

I’ve had wrenches break, so I know a sturdy wrench when I use one. This is heavy, strong, and gives you a lot of leverage on tight bolts. I used this to take off my lawn mower blade and put it back on to 50 ft lbs. It has a nice loud click when you hit the desired torque and my blade is not wobbling at all. Keep in mind there’s no sockets, I already had a bunch, but if you’re buying your first torque wrench, you’ll need those too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Wrench

When reviewing a torque wrench, I understand that the accuracy of the wrench is at least half of what determines the quality. Well, I don’t have the means to measure the accuracy of my wrench unfortunately, but there are plenty of other reviews that cover this. With that said…

All other aspects of the wrench are outstanding! The build quality and materials are solid. I’m not worried at all about it breaking. The torque adjustment is easy to read in my opinion. I especially like that there’s a numbered dial on the handle so that you can count rotations easily when adjusting. The handle is very grippy too, which is a big help. The click at lower torque settings is a bit quiet, but I never had issues hearing/feeling it. Lastly, it’s a great looking tool! I never thought I’d consider a ratchet of any kind as stylish, but here we are.
