I'm a carpenter by trade. I use shims most days at work. These are far better and less expensive than the shims you will find at Lowes and Home Depot. My biggest pet peeve is buying shims that are not as thin as I need them to be. I build a lot of hardwood stair cases and accuracy is of the utmost importance. Sometimes I only need a shim that is 1/32". I hate reaching for a shim only to find that the thin end of it is too thick right out of the package.

I am a professional finish carpenter and I use these shims constantly for hanging doors and for shimming trim. They are all a consistent size and just the right length for door jambs. They are dry, so they don't shrink after installation. They are soft and easy to cut. If you're a carpenter, buy these. They come in a handy box that you can take with you from door to door!

Really high quality shims, great for cabinetry and carpentry needs. I prefer their longer shins for setting doors, but use these for everything else.
