5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for my needs

I work in an auto shop so a cutting tool is plum necessary. However because not everyone is responsible enough to carry one safely without dropping an open blade on the manager, I was no longer able to carry the Swiss Army knife that’s been in my pocket without incident for going on 30 years. That said, there are box cutters around which won’t be going away, so I found a loophole.

This product is perfect. It’s small, lightweight but robust, can be opened and closed easily with one hand even with gloves on, and it only exposes half of a standard razor blade which makes it safe enough for me to get away with at work.

I have no need for the belt clip, this lives in my pocket, but with a couple of Torx bits (I believe a T20 which are everywhere in a car shop) I was able to remove the clip making it even more compact. The locking blade makes it safe, sturdy and usable with gloves on. I can even remove the blade quickly to help remove stubborn maintenance reminder stickers from windshields.

I will agree with other reviews that the blade rattles within the knife, but a small piece of thin cardboard tucked in solves that instantly. If this had some sort of tensioning that held the blade more firmly there would be absolutely nothing to fault it, but again, you don’t have to be MacGyver to solve the problem.

The price for 2 with extra blades is excellent. I gave one to a coworker who was very happy, and we have months of replacement blades before having to buy more.

I would absolutely recommend getting one of these if you need to open foil lids and boxes regularly and you don’t want to have to maintain a knife, especially if you wear gloves most of the day, and you work with morons who can’t handle a regular knife safely.

4.0 out of 5 stars super genius design, but build quality need improvement.

The design of this knife is extremely clever. It only have very few parts and does its job very well. It is simple, lightweight and reliable.

However, it is too expensive, and the build quality doesn't match the price. As you can see in the pictures. It is scratched all over. It is freshly opened from the package. On some metal surfaces, you can even see tiny little holes that are apparently manufacture defects. They don't affect the performance of the knife but definitely looks ugly.

I bet the manufacture cost of this simple tool is only $1 but they sell it for $10. At least, use better materials so it looks like at $10 tool.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best EDC knife for the price

The media could not be loaded.
This thing is my go-to knife for everyday carry. Lightweight, sturdy and well priced. I like that you can swap blades out and not have to worry about sharpening. My only gripe is that the bottom of the clip sticks out pretty far and can be a little annoying at times.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Utility Knife for the Price
Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2024
It works as well as more expensive utility knives like the TiRant RAZOR V3 Titanium Utility Knife. As of today the TiRant costs $80 (but lists for $120) compared to $10 for the WORKPRO. Snobs will like the TiRant because it is made from titanium compared to the steel construction of the WORKPRO. The blade in the WORKPRO rattles if you shake it, but the blade holder is firm ensuring straight cuts. I bought the WORKPRO because I lost my TiRant after a couple months use. But I am happy with the WORKPRO because in some ways it’s easier to use. How long it’ll last (given I don’t lose it!) is yet to be seen. The TiRant was well built but $70 better?

Decent little knife. Lock isn’t reliable and the blade can pop out on you if you’re not careful
