The video screen is very clear. I have a similar pocket microscope sold on Amazon with traditional optics, and this is a big step up with the video screen. It's not quite pocket sized in turn, but I think it's must have for those occasions when you need or want to see something in magnified detail.

This is so fun to do with the kids. The screen is high resolution so you get to see every detail on the included slides. I just wish that some blank slides were included so we could do some of our own research.

It is nowhere near as good as our large digital scope but I can't take that on a hike. Great for any pocket.

Trying to explain cells to a child is much easier when you can show them examples. This little microscope is easy to use and small enough to carry almost anywhere. For the price, the quality of the picture is rather impressive. This would never replace a laboratory microscope, but whoever expects this to be the same is... This is a great start to the tiny World that makes up everything we know.

Im almost sure this is not 1000 magnification. It zooms in a while loy, and is better than any magnifying glass I've ever seen. But you dont see what you'd expect to with 1000 magnification (ie cell walls, chloroplasts). Overall it is a cool magnifier- definately picks up details your eye never would even with a magnifying glass.

I was extremely surprised by the magnification of this microscope. It is easy to do and super fun or kids. One of my favorite things is that it lets you see pixels. I really like that it comes with prepared slides but you can also use it without the slides and even take pictures.

This is a really neat device, especially considering the ~$36 current price tag. While I am not sure why you would be carrying a microscope around, the small size of the device makes it very handy to store away when not in use, and I do like the fact that you can use this wirelessly (i.e., it has batteries - which are rechargeable using the included USB-C cable), as you are not tied down to an electrical outlet when viewing.

The functionality on this microscope is awesome, especially considering the price. It comes with a SD card already, to which you can store photos and videos to, and the LED screen at the top of the microscope is plenty clear enough to view directly. The device is a bit small, so with multiple kids, it may become a crowded set of heads to view it together; however, that is the trade-off with the convenience of it being small. Usage is very straightforward, with a device menu from which you can change settings and toggle photo/video. The slides (and they include quite a few examples as well) can be inserted into the bottom plate, or the plate also just comes off, in case you want to view other things.

Overall, I would recommend this product!
