About this item

I’d always wondered what it would be like to have a family. I just never expected to find it with five mysterious strangers who have more secrets than I could ever imagine.
Getting a scholarship to Evergreen University and majoring in premed means I need to keep my head down and focus on my studies. But campus is full of distractions…
The football god with his golden retriever charm. The tortured one with his vicious tongue. The broken boy with his determined protectiveness. The merciless billionaire with a penchant for spoiling me. And the genius professor with his brilliant mind.
They make me feel like I belong for the first time since my parents were murdered. And when they touch me, my whole world sparks to flame.
But they have enemies. Those who would give anything to harm what they hold dear. And while they’ll do whatever it takes to keep me safe, sometimes falling in love will put you right in the line of fire…

4.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING but…. Too short

(I won’t share spoilers in the 1st paragraph ) I finished the series.. and it’s a great series by far, it has so much potential. The characters are unique and original (hard to come by in fantasy genre these days). A true gem. The main character Hayden is relatable and not your stereotypical “train me strong so I can fight my demons” fantasy MC, I love that she is more human and not god like which is what I love so much about this book. My only complaint is that this 3 book series could have easily been just as good at 5 or 6 books. The plot is rushed and each character is so unique and honestly they could have a whole book for each character just to get to know them and their unique pasts because I feel like I was robbed of these characters pasts and diverse personalities. I also was not a fan of how Hayden’s college life wasn’t elaborated, that’s a big part of a young adults life and I felt like the story could of grown with her through out college. Especially since the author made her a “nerd” science/ health major.
Now for potential spoilers, you’ve been warned. spoiler 1 , the 3 books covers less than 7 months… 1 semester is like 5 so assuming a semester and then some is giving it a lot. Hayden’s story was rushed. Her past history was rushed. This is a beautiful series with such interesting plots that don’t get covered in depth. Very good series but overall too rushed, too short. 2. I don’t like the clichè of injured damsel every other chapter..I was getting annoyed at a point when the chapter plots would be injury-> healing-> intercourse->injured again-> intercourse-> injured.

I read a lot of these books and I finished these in two evenings. It was a great RH had all the ups and downs you want to feel, very spicy and wasn’t drawn out into 10 books. Makes for a great weekend vacation read. I plan on re reading while on a snowed in day this year.

Amazing story, the characters make you want to love them and slap or punch at the same time.
Hope to see the growth with these characters as the story continues. The only thing I hate is the cliff hanger.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing

I waited on pins and needles for the series to be completed before diving in as I really like the authors' other books, but this one missed the mark. There was no emotional connection to be made and the relationships seemed a bit lacking. I'll read the next in hopes of it turning around but if not I won't be finishing

Very entertaining read, didn’t want to put it down.
Hayden was a great FMC most of the time, except when she was being physically assaulted. Like her characters comes across as tough, or should be, because she was in foster care for years, she saw her parents murdered and I feel like all of this would give you a great amount of common scene, following your intuition and to learn self defense. She has done none of these things. Her advisor at school gives her the creeps and is kind of aggressive towards her and she’s like “oh no, I can’t get a new one now, I’ll just wait until next semester and see if I can change to a different advisor.” Girl! If he gives you the creeps tell your mates and/or get a new advisor right away! Don’t let that linger. Or when she gets attacked, she has NO FIGHTING SKILLS!!! Or she runs outside with no protection and is surprised when people try to kidnap her. It’s just takes away from her character. Her mates don’t even teach to defend herself either. I hate weak FMCs, after going through trauma make yourself better so it doesn’t happen again.
I want more history on all the guys. They all seem to have interesting back stories and we get a short version of it but I want more in depth back stories.
I’m really into this world and can’t wait to continue on. Hope Hayden gets stronger and lets speed up this mating bond so she isn’t under constant threat of kidnapping which she puts herself in danger of constantly.

This author had me hooked from the first moment I started reading and I know she'll become an instant buy for me. I already know I will be making my way through her backlist because this is just spectacular. Now I need to head to Book 2 to know what happens despite it being 5AM

5.0 out of 5 stars loved it so much

Loved it so much I read it twice while waiting for the last book to come out and I never start a series that isn’t complete I can’t stand the wait. This one though had me checking back repeatedly to see if it was complete so of course I had to reread book one before I can continue on. Not even mad about it.
