From the very first page, readers are drawn in by the intense chemistry between the two main characters, as well as the underlying tension caused by their past mistakes.

Theo is a powerful and feared leader known for his ruthless ways and his iron fist. But beneath his tough exterior lies a wounded heart.

Astrid is willing to fight for what she wants. And what she wants is Theo. Their love story is not an easy one, but it is filled with passion, heartache, and, ultimately, hope.

What makes this book stand out is the depth of the characters and their emotional journey. Both Theo and Astrid are flawed, and their mistakes make them relatable and human. As they navigate through their complicated past and present, the reader can't help but feel invested in their story and root for their happy ending.

As the story progresses, we see Theo and Astrid's relationship slowly heal and grow stronger. The author does a fantastic job of portraying the complexities of forgiveness and the power of love to overcome past mistakes.

If you're a fan of steamy romances with a touch of drama and a lot of heart, then anything by Ms. Sky is the perfect book for you. Sky's writing is engaging, and her storytelling is captivating, making this book a must-read for romance lovers. I highly recommend this book and can't wait to see what the author has in store for us next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Theo and Astrid's story destroyed me: it was so good!

The epic conclusion to Theo and Astrid's trilogy!! I will miss them; I wanted to know how their story would play out, but I did not want this book to end. Theo was so much more than I expected.

It Destroys Me continues where It Pains Me left off. Astrid is back with Theo now, yet she feels she cannot fully express her love for him without him running away. Theo, on the other hand, is fighting his demons so that they remain at bay. He knows he cares very much for Astrid but is unsure he can give her the love she deserves and the family she also wants.

However, time and circumstances can change these two and allow for more expressions of love. Enter Axel and Scarlett, their close confidants, to help them see how love can change lives.

This story has all the emotions, and they are all woven throughout, so be prepared with tissues. The steam between the two will leave you sweating. There will be tears of joy and anger. Theo and Astrid's story was one for the books.

Reasons I enjoyed this book:

Action-packed

Entertaining, Happily Ever After, Page-turner, Romantic, Steamy, Tear-jerker, Wonderful characters

I think the story of Astrid and Theo differed a little from the other stories I’ve read from Penelope because you have two rivals who are both VERY determined to get what they want. On one side you have Theo who loves Astrid and wants the best for her and wants to protect her. On the other side you have the psychotic Bolton who wants Astrid for himself and no sin is big enough for him to commit in order to get her back. He will do anything, and I mean anything, to make sure she comes back to him.

I know Bolton was supposed to be the bad guy and although I hated him for some things he had done, I also kinda felt bad for him. Don’t get me wrong, the dude is a complete ass but maybe he just needs help? A few therapy sessions perhaps? He’s got issues that need to be worked on. However, overall, I can’t say I hated his character. I kinda liked him.. maybe he’ll get a redemption story somewhere down the road, maybe not, who knows.

Even though I knew how the book was going to end it’s always a pleasure to see characters find their happy ending in their own ways. I liked the development of Theos character. At some point you see him become at peace with the past and he’s finally ready to move on and that part was so heart touching.

Penelope Sky has done it again with this wonderful series. If you’re looking for love, heartbreak, bad boys, and spice, then definitely check out this series!

I will tell you that Penelope is one of my favorite writers because of her consistency. I’ve yet to be disappointed with any of her books. She is a truly talented writer. Without giving detailed spoilers, Chapter 17 is all I can say!!! I’ve never flipped pages so fast and I actually cheered!

All and all, this 3rd book was a great conclusion for Astrid and Theo. It’s what I was hoping for. I’m actually sad that this is the end. However, I won’t be surprised if we read about them again in future books, as you can always find little “Easter Eggs” in her writing which somehow links her characters together. I see you Ms. Barsetti! Well done!!!

Penelope is simply the best at wrapping up her series. She does such an amazing job with this series but as always I don't want it to end. I wish there was another character in this series that we can continue to see Theo, Astrid, Axel, and Scarlett. Theo and Astrid's story is wrapped up so nicely and I love the way Theo was able to love with such passion that he didn't think he could. He deserved his happy ending after being such a great support for his friends. Can't wait for Penelope's next series which I have already pre-ordered. She is one of very few one click authors that I pre-order every time I see a new book coming out. You will not be disappointed by anything she has written.

I have always been a big fan of this author, but this my favorite in the series. It is so well written and
emotionally touching, I found it hard to put the book down. The in depth characterization of Astrid and
Theo, just kept getting better and better as I read each page. I finished reading the book in one night.
Hated for it to end. Bravo, Ms. Law.

I loved this from the first page to the last! It keeps you on your toes and is suspenseful throughout the entire book.

Theo is the man! Astrid is great! Axel is adorable! Scarlett is the bomb! They all come together to be a great team!! They are the ride or die friends for life! The epilogues were so good and made me happy for them.

Meanwhile, Bolton couldn’t die quickly enough for me! Enjoy!!!
