About this item

The best-selling small-town motorcycle club saga has finally come to a close with the final installment of The Stone Riders series.

It’s been two years since I was traded to the Stone Riders Motorcycle Club.

While it saved my life, I was forced to leave behind the only person that ever mattered to me.

Dripping with tattoos, his hair as dark as his soul, the brooding president of the Death Raiders still holds my heart...even if he doesn't seem to know what to do with it.

Yet, Silas has watched me from afar for years, always protecting me from a distance, and creating havoc on my tattered emotions.

To love, and be loved an arm's length away has been torture…until it seemed we might finally free ourselves of this pain.

Unfortunately, whatever we wanted, or could have dreamed of having gets ripped out of reach when old enemies return.

While one wants power, the other....only wants me.

I’ll grieve the dream of a future with Silas because if there’s one thing I know, it's that there is no world in which he would ever share me with another.

If this is to be our end, then I'll say goodbye with ink-stained arms wrapped around me and death itself still holding my heart.

*While each book in this series can be read as a standalone, this book is the exception. The plot from books one through three will come to an end with this book, so it is highly recommended to read them in order to fully enjoy and understand what's happening in this book.*

Well, I’ve just finished WHERE WE ENDED from Author Ashley Munoz and what a fantastic way to end such a perfectly amazing MC series. She has nailed the MC genre and although in no way are they are dark MC romance, they carry Ms Munoz’ own brand of angst, heat and action and by crikey she has more than delivered. While they’re very much at the lighter MC Romance than my normal read, readers should still maybe check the warnings if they’re worried.

I’m crying as I’m getting this review down because not only was the final chapters in ENDED poignant, I’m also mourning the fact that we’re leaving Rose Ridge and the characters that we’ve all invested time with and grown to love. Hell’s teeth if I’m struggling to leave this group of characters, I can’t even imagine the personal cost to an author who has spent months investing heart and soul into writing about them!!!! I also have to say here, that I binge read the first three books and noted down the names of characters as I worked my way through. And, I loved every minute of it. I do recommend reading them before hitting WHERE WE ENDED, if only to build the same sense of love and anticipation that I had. These characters deserve it.

The story of Silas and Natty has been cultivated from the start. First as a seed in WHERE WE STARTED, nurtured through BELONG and PROMISE, culminating in this epic finish of WHERE WE ENDED. Their story is tragic and one of my favourite ever movies was vaguely referenced in BELONG. Reading that scene had me in tears, because the heartbreak between the lovers in Ladyhawke was a soul deep tragedy and the heart-wrenching moments of denied connection between Silas and Natty was so strong it made me very aware of their presence throughout each of the books:

“An entire life with her, and yet we hadn’t even begun living ours. Not the one owed to us.”

These two grew up together as young children, and from that first moment in the Prologue, it was easy to see how they were bonded. Silas was dragged into the dark by his vicious and violent father, the kind that perpetrates an evil foulness into the hearts and minds of young sons and anything he touches in the world. Silas’ believed his dark heart was worthless and beyond love but Natty insisted on sharing his burden and bathing his heart in her sunlight. Soon it become tragic and they were like night and sun, sharing the same world but never together ????????????
And in WHERE WE ENDED, Silas has had enough, it was time to bring about the end to those who had wronged them, consequences by damned:

“All I wanted was Natty in my arms again. I’d waited long enough; Natty belonged to me, and even if this ended in both our lives being forfeited, at least in the end, she’d be buried with me. Safely cradled in my arms.”

All the feels people. All. The. Feels.

Natty was initially a quiet understated character who tried to remain invisible. She was an enigma and soon we realised why. The hatred and animosity she was hiding from, the trauma she’d been through and realising what was sacrificed for her safety was overwhelming, but her strength, determination, loyalty and love for Silas had her taking ownership of her future in a way that surprised everyone. I just loved her.

Silas’ mother, Sasha was revealed as a hero in her own right, an imperfect woman who made mistakes and underwent unspeakable treatment to save those she loved. Unconditional love in horrendous conditions brings about it’s own consequences, and just wow, she did step up. I’m both rapt and broken-hearted for her journey here also.

So many important secondary characters that bolster the structure created by Ms Munoz. Collectively they’re just as important as the main characters in each of their stories, because without them, their journey seems all for nought. I believe that they provide the depth, and as entirety, this series is profound. So deep, it seems bottomless.

What an amazing journey it has been with this group of rivals who have found a common respect and mutual protection for each other. Patches differ but the love and protection of their women and families remain paramount and where values align, alliances are found.

Inspired by a real-life encounter, Ms Munoz turned that old adage of ‘don’t get mad, get even’ into her own brand of even in this beautifully written set of books becoming a huge success that has brought her talent into the minds of more readers who love her books as much as I do.

I unreservedly, profoundly and from the bottom of my heart recommend this series of books. Dip your toe into the world of 1%-ers and you’ll be glad that you did. If you don’t, you’re missing out. Seriously.

I know I’m getting boring in my rating, but who cares, it’s all more than well deserved. 5-profoundly-suspensful-romantic-MC-Stars. ????➹⁀????

Natty and Silas's story is one that I have awaited since it was mentioned they were getting their own story! I was literally on pins and needles awaiting them.. Now on the flip side of this, I am so sad that the series is over.. However, I am still holding out hope for a second generation. But this is a series that I will read and read again. From start to finish Ashley did an amazing job of telling their story!

We first met Natty in Where We Started, she had been traded to the Stone Riders and was given a room and protection from the outside world. Then enters the Roman and his questioning about her safety but no one knew what the deal was. We saw a little more in Where We Belong when Silas held Laura at gunpoint because Jameson was seen talking with Natty and then in Where We Promise was the threat against Natty from the past and the disappearance of Natty.

Natty was the quiet blend-in girl so no one would notice her. Her mother wasn't a mother unless it was of benefit to her. But in comes Sasha and Silas and takes Natty into their fold and Sasha does all that she can to keep Natty safe. While Natty and Silas grew up Sasha taught them Latin and homeschooled them. As Natty grew older she realized she and Silas had a special bond. Natty knew that she was Silas's light and would take the demons he had to give him peace. They became one and had marked each other's souls for all eternity. She lived for Silas and the day that he would come for her so that they could be one. As she waited, she wondered why he never came for her.

Silas was a troubled soul as he grew, he would read poetry to his mother while they would hide from Silas's father. He was an awful man. When Silas grew older he would have to go with his father during the summer and then those times became longer and longer. Though he would never take over what his father wanted him to, he chose his path, his father manipulated things all around and wanted to end his weakness so he took what he thought would make him lose his mind..

Natty showed us she is not just a quiet house mouse and would go after what she wanted and would do what she needed to do to keep her loved ones safe and fight for the life she wanted!!

There were quite a few shockers and absolutely LOVED this book!! I can't wait to get the physical copy in my hands
