About this item

I crashed a wedding.
Got caught by the best man.
Now, I’m pregnant with his baby…

It's Katya's fault. (As per usual.)
My BFF despises her ex and wants to hate-watch him marry the woman he left her for.
Problem is, she didn't fill me in on that plan...
Until we arrive at the ceremony.

As soon as I find out, I run.
Hop on the elevator and smash the
Doors Close button like the Energizer Bunny on a sugar rush.

But right before they shut...
A hand comes shooting through.

And attached to that hand, unfortunately for me, is the most stunning human specimen I've ever seen.
Tall.
Dark.
Handsome.
Dangerous.

Also... the best man.

He takes one look at me and knows I don't belong.
"Who let you in here, little bird?" he growls.

I gulp. Tremble.
Open my mouth to lie...
And then the elevator stops.

EMERALD MALICE is Book 1 of the Kuznetsov Bratva duet. The story concludes in Book 2, EMERALD VICES.

This spellbinding story delivers an irresistible mix of humor, tension, and undeniable chemistry that keeps readers hooked from start to finish. Her reaction to the best man’s presence—part fear, part undeniable attraction—sets the stage for a charged interaction filled with witty banter and palpable tension. What makes this book stand out is how well it balances humor with genuine romantic tension. The dialogue between the two characters is electric, filled with both snappy comebacks and moments of vulnerability. As they navigate their predicament, the story explores themes of fate, attraction, and the idea that sometimes, the best things in life come from the most unexpected circumstances.

Overall Nicole Fox once again has delivered a is a delightful, fast-paced romantic story that’s as much about seizing the moment as it is about the sparks that fly when two people are thrown together in a highly unusual situation. It’s a must-read for anyone who loves a romance with a healthy dose of humor and a dash of unpredictability.

Book 1, and book 2. Do let me say right from the start --- do read and make your determinations. Another's reviews and opinions should not be trusted to be the same as what you feel may or may not be an excellent read for you!

The duo --- they both are pretty similar. I had long ago decided I was not going to read any more Fox books. Nicole Fox has a way of practically using the same plot from book series to book series with little change, though different character names. While I went ahead and continued to read several, I hoped for something different from her from time to time. While hers are somewhat predictable, I just cannot find any other of her subpar peers with a better mafia trope going on. So I stick with Nicole. There are grammatical/vocab/a few spelling issues to be worked out, but often so many less than her counterparts. Where have all the good proofreaders gone? I can be bought, of course!
Back to the book. No spoilers. Mafia plot. Love happens. Pregnancy happens. Drama happens. Plot twists. Lots of side character friends. Some would probably have a more worthwhile storyline in their future. Spice? Idk, might make bored housewives swoon with fantasies! And that, Ms Fox knows, is what sells books!! ????

It does get a 4 from me because she does express clearly and fluidly with her writing the story she tells.

Ms. Fox story grabbed me and didn't let go. I loved the heated exchange between Natalia and Andrey. From the meeting in the elevator to seeing her apartment. I laughed and wanted to hit both of them with my bare hands. The sub plots with their friends was good too. This novel had everything I look for in a good read. The drama, the characters and the conclusion. I loved this story and would recommend it to my friends. Now I am off to read the conclusion to this love story. I love the fact that he is trying to fight his feelings for Natalia and she is trying to decide if she wants to raise their children in his world. Let me get to the conclusion of this fast pasted love story. Thank you for an escape that makes we wonder if there is a happily ever after for all of us.

It’s sad it has funny lines in it by Natalia,it’s happy and now I am worried here at the end of this book because the author has me so involved. My heart is breaking because of all the characters you come to know are hurting here. This story is so good and has it all. I love the way this author tells the story. Things in life don’t just turn around so fast and so they don’t in this book. I have to get to the next book because I am dieing to know. You must read this book and you will not regret it, you will be hooked on this author

3.0 out of 5 stars A lot of twists and turns

I enjoy this author’s books and this one was good too until the last chapters. I knew it ends in a cliffhanger but the second book is already published so no problem. I liked the characters, the families, the side romances, etc. What I did not enjoy was the lead character’s penchant to constantly make poor choices and put her life in danger. At first I thought that she would come around after she experienced kidnapping herself for the first time and next her BFF gets kidnapped. I am thinking okay now Natalia will realize that Andrey, her lover, is not lying when he says as pakhan danger is real and she must be guarded and able to protect herself too. But no, not Natalia, she conjures up ideas that she can protect herself alone and injures Andrey trying to escape after another kidnapping attempt in the last chapter. This is a good read up to the last several chapters, where the kidnapping and continued poor choices become too unbelievable and too numerous for this mafia romance. Disappointed.
