I enjoyed much of DC vs Vampires--at least when I could figure out which character was doing what. I didn't enjoy this one quite as much. I wasn't bothered by the time skip as much as the motivation skip. In Hunters, readers were told what made Damian different was the retention of compassion due to Alfred. What changed? How do the humans not know the Vampires are still eating people? What changed to make the humans believe in such a change? How did Barbara go from smart and calculating to easy to foil? I needed those gaps filled in, or something to let me knows these are mysteries that will unfold.
I will add the "surprise" appearance didn't wow me either.
It was just ok....but I hope the series picks up.
