How many times did my heart jump to my throat and gasp? Countless, just countless moments. TL Swan’s “The Bonus” began with the intensity of boss/employee romance with angst, spice, and quick dialogue. The pace increased even more when the author delivered one emotional hit after another.

Though intentionally written, it was challenging to like Gabriel’s character. The alpha qualities and self-centeredness were almost too much to bear—it certainly was for Grace, who finally decided she could no longer be his PA. Who knew that one night with Gabriel would lead to an unexpected bonus left behind for Grace to deal with? She did so for several years, only to be faced with Gabriel later, who started making demands.

The way TL Swan wrote “The Bonus” was unlike some of the other books I’ve read from her. I was in tears—from laughter. I don’t think I’ve done that in a long time, much less from a book from TL Swan. Grace and Gabriel’s quick-paced dialogue, especially the internal ones, was hilariously written. The character growth Gabriel went through was written well, too. Usually, in these billionaire romance stories, the MMC seems to double down or is weak regarding their mothers, but not Gabriel. He’s pretty protective over Grace. I felt sorry for the other characters in Grace and Gabriel’s life, but “The Bonus” is fictional, and I was thoroughly entertained.

Do you remember those butterflies in the stomach while reading for the first time book, that captured Your heart fully from the first pages? For me right now The Bonus is exactly like that, the perfect combo between Miles Brothers & Mr. Series, just add here some HUGE amount of confidence on steroids. These characters do not disappoint, author like a pro expanded these few chapters we had in Christmas novella. From one page to another it could be seen that she had a plan for this story and knows how to lead everything. I couldn't put it down - reading book under 24 hours happens very rarely to me. The action is intense - everythnig flows by seamessly thru the pages - plot twist and other good things that's going on did set up my bookish heart od fire. After seeing the end I already knew, the book hangover will be no joke and OF COURSE ANY SUPRISES HERE... I'm trying to hold on but the beauty of this book is really not easy to handle. It was magic, that's all.

So hear me out. I REALLY love T.L and all of her books. I had so many expectations but I did find the ending to be rushed and the epilogue? Nothing about the future? What about the mom? The brothers?

There was a good part of the book where I didnt like the FMC because I just cant do/like the part where she hid his kids from him for YEARS. I do not like miscommunication or anything like that. There was so much more I would’ve loved to see about him and the kids. Like out of the blue, his kid starting liking him. I give this book 4/5 and overall recommend it. Easy read. I hope we get an extended story or epilogue soon though.

You ever anticipate something for so long and have all these expectations of what it will be? The Bonus was it. Ever since this author gave a release date for this book I eagerly awaited til midnight struck for it to appear in my e-reader so I could begin. Even though I gave it a 5 star rating, I have to admit there were parts that I didn’t care for (sleeping with others, etc), fast forwarding through the pregnancy, what happened to Russel (no real explanation how that ended), fast forward through 7 years of the kids childhood, Gabriel’s mother and their relationship, etc. little things like that left me scratching my head. Overall, I enjoyed the book and recommend it. Did it make my heart squeeze like the Miles books, no and maybe that’s where the expectations play a part. Definitely I will be reading again. Are we going to see a book about Mark or Alesso in the future?

I believe it's only been a few hours since I started reading, then all of a sudden it was the end. I have read plenty of TL Swan, but this one was beyond her usual brilliance.

This book was amazing. The chemistry, the "always meant to be" love, the actual laught out loud humour, the cuteness, etc. Every single character (except the usual bad ones) was interesting and delightful. The A-game date. The cooking. Learning how to be... [read to find out.] And the love. The love always gets me.

I could go on forever honestly. This book is so good that I need to have the paperback as well.

If you have never read her books, it's time. Pick this one.
If you have, I am certain you aren't reading reviews and went right into reading.

Thank you TL Swan for getting better with time.

Are you ready for Gabriel Ferrara? He’s the alphahole you didn’t know you needed in your life! And nobody writes alphaholes like TL Swan! ;)

If you were (im)patiently waiting for this book, you were not alone. After seeing a little preview of Grace and Gabriel’s story in His Christmas List, we were all looking forward to their full story and it was worth the wait!

To be honest, after seeing Gabriel in the Miles High Series and The Bonus I wasn’t sure if he was going to be able to redeem himself, especially after how The Bonus preview ended, but he lived up to his name.

We all love Grace! Super strong FMC that put herself first and didn’t let Gabriel get away with it or get everything he wanted so easy. So glad she made him fight for it.

So buckle up and get ready for this roller coaster of emotions! You'll love this book!
