Super cute story & a quick read. Who doesnt love a fake marriage with your brothers best friend that turns real? Carter & Luna were complete opposites but with that they were able to learn about eachother & form a bond that turned to love.

I I liked this book it was a quick read. I liked Luna and I thought Carter was decent hero. I do feel like they are sexy times were sometimes a bit forced or manipulative so it was sometimes a turn off, but I do think the spice between the characters was real and prevalent in the writing. I wish Luna had stuck up for herself a little bit more sometimes, and didn’t give into him as easily and I loved the side characters. Elena was awesome and all of the staff at the Cartwright residence were really fun to read. The story has predictable antagonists but a solid setup of Carter’s family in order to lead into the next book. But the book did nothing to leaving me wanting to pick up the next book right away and get started on the next one in the series. I had to keep checking my Goodreads multiple times to see if I had to read this book before because for some reason it read like some thing I had just finished even though I had not completed this book. If you want something light and easy this is it with some spice.

Carter finds himself in an ongoing competition with his brother when it comes to the family business, and he is beginning to feel like a runner up. When Zach, his best friend, gives him a lead that could change his fortune he is all in. The only problem is that he needs help from Luna and isn’t above using a little subterfuge to ensure he gets it.

Luna believes that she and Carter couldn’t be more different as while he is suave and sexy, she prefers art and writing. She doesn’t believe in deception, so she has her concerns about Carter’s plan as she isn’t sure she can pull off pretending to be his wife. The financial compensation is something she can’t afford to turn down, but will the cost be her heart?

I enjoyed seeing the relationship between Carter and Luna unfold as they have been in each others lives for years but it wasn’t until they pretended to be married that they truly saw each other. Humorous situations and banter, great chemistry and plenty of emotion as Carter and Luna find love where they least expect it.

I randomly chose this book looking for a way to pass the time on a particularly boring shift at work. I thought I wouldn't like it, or even finish it... but man did it suck me in and keep me wanting more. I can not wait to move onto the rest of the stories in the series, because Ms. Landish is one heck of a story teller.

Came to this from a hilarious tiktok. Usually I am disappointed but for once TikTok delivered.

Romance isn’t really my favorite but sometimes you just need light and predictable.

And yes this was beyond predictable but there were funny scenes and it was well written with decent character development that helped it earn a high star rating from me who cringed while reading straight lovey dovey romance.

Rainy day and need something fun this is a good choice.
