I have a completely new fantasy because of this spicy novella. I need an Ian to save me from my 9-5 in the worst way.
This novella is 54 pages and each page is filled with a lot of detail, from the character descriptions, to the dialogue, and most importantly the spice.
The way January found a way to put this much detail in 54 pages should be studied! I knew exactly who Ian Roulette was from the first page. I knew exactly who all the characters were based off the way they were described by the people that knew them, the dialogue between them and the Main Characters, and I got a good description of their physical appearance because of these details. Outside of just what was described in the description as each was introduced.
When the kids were introduced I knew exactly who each one was, their personalities and I know this is essentially a prequel to a bigger series coming and I can not wait! This does not end on a cliffhanger by any means, but I almost want a prequel of this prequel of how Ian got to where he is today!
I loved the Main Female Character as well. Mae was so relatable. How many of us are so tired and working hard to barely make it? We all wish to be saved deep down I feel like. January is good at writing relatable main characters that you end up being jealous of as soon as you finish the book. I sighed and just daydreamed about what it would be like to be Mae. The way Ian takes care of her with a firm hand in every aspect of their relationship(you know what I mean)
Happily Ever After and I can’t wait to meet Ian and Mae’s kids fully in the next one. These boys are gonna steal my heart if they are anything like their Daddy.
