Such a loving Mafioso story with exciting twists and turns. I love how the characters are known to us thru reading the series (in order of sequence or randomly) so you feel a familiarity between the characters. This story reaches my heart more because it showed the strength of the female main character, she was strong and smart throughout book and the main male character (Don of mafia) allowed his love to show for her not bothering if others saw his love for his mom and wife. This is a favorite book of mine, yet I always enjoy Michelle Heard's books. One of my favorite authors. She knows how to write and describe wonderful sizzling moments between characters without making it sleezy. Very sexual and classy!

About this item
From USA Today & Wall Street Journal bestselling author Michelle Heard comes a new STANDALONE, full-length MAFIA ROMANCE novel.
I was born into the Cosa Nostra, so I've always known an arranged marriage loomed in my future.
When the Capo dei Capi of the Cosa Nostra comes to Sicily to give his approval for his cousin, Stefano, to take me as his bride, I know my fate is all but sealed. Marrying Stefano is the last thing I want, but being a woman, I don't have a say in the matter.
Damiano Falco is merciless and rules the Cosa Nostra with an iron fist. Everyone fears him and won't dare go against him.
I'm still trying to accept that I'll have no choice but to marry Stefano when Damiano utters the last word anyone expects to hear.
"No."
He doesn't give his approval, nor does he offer any explanation.
But if I think his refusal will set me free, I have another thing coming. Instead, my bags are packed, and within hours, I find myself sitting on a private jet with the head of the Costa Nostra.
The ruthless man doesn't tell me anything, and I have no idea what my future holds.
To say I'm terrified is the understatement of the century.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful book
I so enjoyed this book, yes it has it all, heartbreak, torture, kidnapping, sex, but most of all LOVE. This book is so exciting, I couldn’t put it down, I cried 3 times, it is so well written that you get so involved in the characters, that when I dies it breaks your heart for the family they leave behind.

4.0 out of 5 stars 3.7/ 4 stars
This is the final book of the series as well as a highly anticipated release. I will be honest and say I didn't enjoy this series as much as her other ones, but I did enjoy 3 out of 5 of the books. Let's start with the characters, I loved Gabriella. She was one of the strongest fmc's I've read in a long time. She went through so much and was still standing proud. Damiano was great as well. He had the Alpha-hole thing down pat as well as respect for his other half. I do wish he had a bit more of a personality other than hating people. I really enjoyed all of the characters. So much so that's one of the reasons I'm not giving 5 stars. It really irked me that Damiano didn't show more love to Aunt Greta. She was a part of his life for 20 years, and he often times didn't even speak to her. He did mention he regretted it, but it still didn't sit well with me. As well as his relationship with his second in command. He didn't really treat him as well as he could have, in my opinion. On to the storyline. It was decent. It's predictable but decent. The word DIO was used way too many times. The sex scenes were decent enough. Damiano wasn't a very gentle man, which is fine but not even once ? All in all, it's a good fast read. I am happy that Michelle is finally making her fmc's less of a doormat and more of a role in the power dynamic. Now, if we can just get those age gaps to not be as large, that would be great. There's really no reason to make the mmc in his 40s and the fmc in her early 20s. Just my opinion. I am happy to see this series end because, again, it wasn't my favorite out of hers. She said in a social media post she had no plan to write a second generation series because she's working on a different mafia world which I'm excited about but I felt it was kind of odd that she jumped 22 years later to where most of the children are adults and pining after one another if she has no plans to write about them. Oh, well. I do hope the next mafia world is a success. I do love Michelle's writing and the world's she creates. I do hope she takes some feed back though from the readers and takes her time on the next series. This series was definitely written quite quickly and pushed out faster than I expected. Again, overrall good read. I just hope the next series will leave me wanting the world to never end like the priesthood and the first generation series did. Those characters felt more connected, more in-depth, and honestly, just better storylines. Only time will tell. Enjoy !

5.0 out of 5 stars OMG!!! ... The Costa Nostra - DAMIANO AND GABRIELLA FOREVER
What a way to end this series. I so loved Saints and Sinners, but the end to Kings of Mafia floored me. This was an amazing love story. A true page turner to the very end. The story was written with excellent depth and content. Damiano was truly the leader of the Costa Nostra and ruled with an iron fist. Little did he know the cold blooded leader found his perfect leading Lady that was right and under his nose. Their love story evolved in a beautiful way. Lots of action, heartbreak, and love. This is the best mafia family. Five families rolled into one. I hope their children take the reins next. Excellent love story. Great fantasy series and the writer definitely saved the best for last!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great read
Gabriella and Damiano, their story is amazing, addictive, romantic, creepy and I loved the epilogue. In between all that there is family, both good and bad. Gabriella’s family is horrendous. Quite a bit of bloodshed that does resolve the aforementioned creeps.

The storyline just kept you hooked! The suspense, twists, violence, lust, laughs, loss... it was a beautiful story and hated that it ended!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Story
I started out liking Damiano. As an introvert, I completely relate to hating being around people and feeling overwhelmed when I have to be social, then needing time alone to recharge. But he's unnecessarily grumpy all the time. Everything he says is an order delivered with a snap or a growl. He's also way too rough when he has sex. It makes those scenes less sexy.
I feel sorry for what Gabriella went through, but I admire her strength. However, I didn't like that she was okay with how Damiano took her virginity.
The storyline with Stefano and Gabriella's family was brutal and well-deserved. I enjoyed that.
Christ and Dio and pour were overused. Something was always pouring into their hearts or veins or minds - it was annoying.
Good epilogue. I'd read the series about the next generation if there ever is one.
