About this item

Scandal meets sizzle when a runaway bride’s quick getaway lands her in the arms of her almost-groom’s rival, but he has more than business on his mind when he makes her an offer she can’t refuse.

Your wedding day is meant to be the happiest day of your life. Not the day you discover your groom is a cheating jerk.

When I run, strong arms catch me. It’s just a shame they belong to my ex’s nemesis, Oliver Deubel. Rich and powerful, the man is sin in a suit. He’s also arrogant, demanding, and infuriatingly irresistible.

When my wedding disaster goes viral and deportation hangs over my head, Oliver offers me a deal: help him ruin my ex in exchange for my visa. The fine print? Move in with him.

I want to laugh in his face, until I discover how ruthless he is. So I decide to repay him by making his life a living hell, and he retaliates by…being nice to me. Which is where things become really weird as lines blur and pretend suddenly begins to feel real.

But Oliver is no Romeo, and only a fool would fall for him.

Worryingly, I think that fool might be me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Read!!!

I loved absolutely everything about this book! Oliver is the perfect hero. He’s grumpy, cutthroat, determined, sexy, and has a well disguised cold heart. I say that because Evie (Eve) chips away at it and it was beautiful to watch. Evie was just wonderful. She’s smart, loving, feisty, strong, beautiful and sarcastic. She’s also a veterinarian who loves and takes great care of the animals in her care. As much as Oliver gave, she gave it right back to him. These two were perfect together and their chemistry was off the charts. Throughout this book I smiled and laughed out loud. The biggest laughs I got were from the antics of a labradoodle named Bojangles. He did something to Oliver that had me laughing so hard it brought tears to my eyes ????. The supporting characters also played a big part in making this a great read. Nora, Fin and Yara were my favorite characters. Here’s hoping we get a Fin and Yara book next ????????.

I definitely recommend No Romero it’s a book that will hook you right from the start and will leave you with a big smile on your face and your heart filled with joy! It definitely gets two thumbs up from me!!!

Oliver and Eve meet on a very unconventional way and their relationship develops from there. She’s a sweet vet who has been hurt by her ex-fiancé. He’s a billionaire who has also been done wrong by the same man.

Their journey to get even and get to know each other is fun and life changing for both of them.

There are some fun characters in this book as well as some great adventures as they work and rework their alliance. I enjoyed this book.

This was an absolute joy to read, this book has it all a hero who is James Bond worthy without the spying and the heroine is sweet, sassy and beautiful. The dialog is so refreshing , A must read.

Oliver and Evie were the perfect example of when opposites attract. Oliver didn’t know what hit him when he met Evie. Lots of chemistry and steam. Humor too!

5.0 out of 5 stars You Know You're Getting the Best

The best characters, who make you like them, want to know what happens next to them and have you wishing you could keep them around much longer. The best dialogue, as Eve and Oliver bandy words, jokes, zings and entanglements with wit and intelligence. And the best plots, not predictable, not mundane, but interesting, exciting and enviable.

4.0 out of 5 stars I enjoyed this book

I was skeptical about if i would like this book or not.

But i was pleasantly surprised with how much i enjoyed it. It was very funny and spicy.

It ended too soon for me. Felt a bit abrupt. I feel like the epilogue could have simply been added to the chapter or made another chapter.

Then made the new epilogue the wedding or post wedding. That’s why i gave 4 stars instead of 5.

One of the best books I’ve read in a long time after the first few pages I knew I would read all her books. They’re funny and intelligently written.

Trust me, you can’t put it down. Read her books.

Where do I start. A lot of friction and angst in the first half, almost put it down.

I liked the tension with the ex
I liked the mystery of Lucy
The ‘sexual tension’ and friction between the MCs was just too tedious. It lost something in the mix and lost me for the middle third of the book.
