Just when I think Jagger can’t possibly outdo his last book, BAM he does it AGAIN with Emperor of Wrath!!

This is a whole new series featuring new characters with some old ones making an appearance. Emperor of Wrath follows Kenzo the half brother to Fumi’s whom we meet in Poisonous Kiss and he’s apart of the Yakuza family and Annika the twin sister of Taylor whom we are also meet in the venomous god series and dark heart series. Annika first got on Kenzo’s radar 5 years ago when she drugged and stolen something very precious to him. Fast forward to where he sets up a trap for her to steal something else, only to find out it’s their announcement of engagement! Needless to say it’s a hate love relationship as the story unfolds! There’s a lot of moving parts in this story but man it’s a so so good!! Right from the jump Jagger set the tone for how the book would go and did not disappoint! The plot was plotting and all the dark secrets were revealed and woah!! Definitely didn’t expect for it to go the way it did. Annika character was written amazingly! She was a tough cookie who went through some much and survived through it all. I loved how Jagger wrote her to match Kenzo’s character. I’m really excited to read and be introduced to all the characters in this new series!! They are all very interesting!! As always, please check triggers. This book is a little on the darker side but oh so very good????!!

Jagger Cole knows how to write Mafia style dark romances. The MMCs & FMCs are always just a click off & I love them for it. They’re intense, dark, possessive, and will let nothing stand in the way of their love — once they’ve gotten there themselves! Lots of “my wife/husband” to go around!

His new series - The Memento Mori - is no different. With Emperor of Wrath being a great kick off to the newest storylines. Kenzo Mori is just as mysterious & controlled as when we met him in Poisonous Kiss. And the fact that he’s been hunting Annika (the missing, now found, thieving sister of beloved Taylor Crown) is *chefs kiss!* I love how Cole keeps so many great threads between each of his series! It’s always so fun to see other characters while diving into the newest.

Kenzo & Annika are definitely enemies to lovers in the darkest sense. They push each others buttons (in more ways than one! ????????). And I absolutely love how Annika is so bad a$$ - she’s fearless, clever, smart, and can keep up with Kenzo in every way. Kenzo is honorable, confident, and the natural leader of the re-emerging Mori-Kai….honestly he really reminds me of Ares Drakos in a lot of ways. A great leader, and more importantly a great brother.

Fair warning - there’s quite a bit of world building here in book 1 (which is understandable given we have so many new characters to meet and start anticipating! And boy am I ever!!). So it took a bit to get into the rhythm oh Kenzo & Annika — but I totally believe they are the cornerstone couple of this newest series! I can’t wait to see who Cole has in mind for our future couples….I have a pretty clear idea for our next story, and a few theories for more down the road. Now…let’s see how right I am! ????

I absolutely LOVED it!!! Once I started I couldn’t put it down!!! The chemistry between Kenzo and Annika is so freaking hot and completely off the charts????
Annika is such a bada** and a true survivor!! My heart broke for all she went through ????
Kenzo is hot cold filthy mouthed king and wants revenge!
When these two are forced together they hate it and that makes IT IS SOOOOOOOO HOT! The filthy way Kenzo talks to her had me melting and her comebacks had me cracking up!
The smexy times between them are some of the hottest Jagger has written ????????????
The twists had me on the edge of my seat throughout the book!
I love his siblings and her besties!!!
I am so pumped for this series and already wanting the next book lol
Absolutely phenomenal story! Highly highly recommend it????

Jagger, Jagger, Jagger!! You really stepped up to the plate with this book. I could not put it down. I was immediately engrossed in the story. And you told this tale so well. The characters were amazingly written. I adore Annika!! She is one spicy chick!! She was absolutely what Kenzo needed in his life. I loved reading how their lives unfolded and became each other's person. I commend you for writing a character of another ethnicity. It was refreshing and something we need to see more of. I really could go on and on about how much I LOVE this book. This is at the top of my definitely read and read again list.
