I absolutely loved The Proposal by Adriana Locke; it is an incredible accidental marriage - fake relationship love story. It is supposed to be a standalone book, but I am hoping that Adriana Locke writes a series for the Brewer siblings. Adriana Locke continues to prove that she is an amazing storyteller and continues to be one of my favorite authors to read. It was impossible to put The Proposal down and I loved every moment on every page. Who does not love hot sexy men, strong females, loving families, and friends, who always support one another? I really enjoy how the book is told in the first person from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. I love how Adriana Locke always manages to create the "perfect" heroine, who is a strong, sassy woman on her own, to balance out the sexy, swoon worthy man. Adriana Locke continues to deliver all that and so much more. The Proposal is an accidental marriage - fake relationship love story and is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. The Proposal is the story of Renn Brewer, the bad boy of rugby and his best friend, Brock’s little sister, Blakely Evans, recently promoted as the new artist assistant at Mason Music Label. Renn recently signed a contract with the Tennessee Royals, and they made him sign a good boy clause. Blakely and her best friend and her brother’s girlfriend, Ella St. James head to Las Vegas to celebrate Blakely’s thirtieth birthday. Renn and Brock surprise them in Vegas to celebrate Blakely’s birthday. Ella and Brock return to the hotel room, and Blakely and Renn continue partying and wake up in bed together the following morning only to discover that they got married. Blakely agrees to continue her fake relationship with Renn for ninety days because of his good boy clause. I love the contract that they draw up on their way to their honeymoon. Conversation between Blakely and Renn flows so easily, especially their playful banter. I love how Blakely is always asking about Renn’s brother, Tate. I love that both Blakely and Renn share secrets with one another that they have not shared with anyone before, the secrets that both Blakely and Renn share about their families and discuss their plans for the future Blakely suffers from insecurities because of her upbringing and is hoping to find someone who will love her and is looking for a forever love and someone to start a family with. Renn on the other hand is not looking for a relationship. I love the chemistry between Blakely and Renn. As Blakely and Renn spend time together on their honeymoon, things quickly change between them, neither one is willing to admit their true feelings for one another. Some of their conversations between Blakely and Renn are truly heartbreaking. I love the surprise birthday gift that Renn had delivered and gave to Blakely. A heart-breaking plot twist occurs at Brewer home, which changes everything between Renn and Renn. I love the heart-to-heart conversation that Blakely and Renn have with Renn’s mother, Rory, especially the heart-to-heart conversation that Renn has with his mother following his breakup with Blakely. I love everything that Renn does to get back together with Blakely. I loved that The Proposal is more than just a romance, there are issues that both Blakely and Renn are facing that need to be resolved. I love how the storylines get so beautifully resolved. I love how the epilogue is the perfect ending to their love story. The Proposal is filled with poignant and bittersweet moments as well as plot twists that I have come to love and expect in an Adriana Locke love story. I love the characters and the family dynamic in The Proposal, the characters feel like family and friends. I enjoyed all the interactions between the Brewer siblings, it feels like real family love and makes me laugh at their teasing. I loved all the characters in The Proposal, and I am hoping that there will be more books with the Brewer siblings. Loved seeing Foxx Carmichael and loved that Blakely called him “Foxxy.” Who does not love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed The Proposal, who does not love an accidental marriage - fake relationship love story. Highly recommend this incredible love story and am so hoping for other books in the series.
