About this item
She bought the cabin on a whim. But will it transform into her perfect getaway?
Burnt out from her high-flying author career and dreaming of escaping her busy Manhattan life, when Laura discovers her husband cheating on her with another writer, she knows it’s time for a change. After her brother calls her about a country Bed and Breakfast for sale, Laura ditches New York and buys it on the spot… only to realize that the run-down cabin will need more than a little elbow grease to restore it to working condition.
As she’s swept up in the quiet joys of small-town life, an ad in the local paper draws her to the rugged handyman Paul – and though his wicked humor sours first impressions, she soon warms to his rustic charms. But her past isn’t done with her yet.
Faced with the daunting reality of fixing up her cabin – and with her Manhattan agents pressuring her to return to the big city – Laura must find the strength to commit to her new future… and maybe find true love along the way.
Was this cabin the worst impulse buy in her life? Or will she find happiness amid the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains?

Everything seems to be going great. Her bathroom almost finished, Laura goes back to the city to see her new agent, Rebecca. Laura tells her she wants to change direction in her writing. She just doesn’t have the young romance writing anymore & she wants a change her direction of writing. Rebecca isn’t happy about this & it’s not what she pitched to the publishers. She tells Laura to really think about it because this could ruin your career. This is not what your fans have come to expect from you. As she leaves the office she runs into her ex- husband he asks her for the keys to their apartment. Laura informs him that she no longer owns it, that she sold it. He’s furious! It seems like his new love has kick him to the curb. When she gets back to her hotel she decides not to stay the night. She changes her return flight & decides to leaves the city tonight & return to her new home in the mountains. Noah, her handyman is redoing her bathroom and is happy to have her back. He is working late & almost has it completed. They end up kissing and enjoying a campfire together. A few days later when Noah is there to check out one of the rooms she’s finished. They work on another one of the bedrooms together. A strange vehicle neither of them know drives up & wants to know if she’s Laura Carter. She says yes. He hands her an envelope & tells her “you have been served”! The papers read that she is being sued by her ex-husband for half of the sale of their apartment! He is unbelievable! She paid for the apartment. Financially this could destroy her & the renovation of the B&B. Will she loose her home she has come to love & her future she has planned for the B&B to help her financially until she decides what to do? If he wins se doesn’t have the money to pay for what she has ordered for the B&B, but Noah has assured her that he will help her get through this! What NOW? This series is getting good!
