Fortune is asked to look into the situation before the inept local sheriff railroads the couple or simply allows gossip to run them out of business, which will cost them their home. Swamp Team 3 heads to Voodoo Island to find a way to clear the couple and finds a complicated mess of locked doors and old secrets awaiting them. Is Voodoo Island really cursed? Or can Fortune unravel the mystery and lead her team to victory?

    As a huge fan of the Fortune series, I quickly devour each novel. Each one has been enjoyable in its own way, but this story had a poignancy and depth about the characters that was gripping. Still laugh out loud funny at times, but with a great mystery and play on your emotions. EXCELLENT READ!

    Another great book. Lots of turns and twists. Engaging, entertaining and definitely a page turner. Can't wait for the next adventure for the Swamp Team.

    As always, I was laughing through the first chapter all the way to the end! This series is the very best I have ever read out of the thousands of books I have read. I can’t wait until the next one. Loved the plot, the undercover aliases and the character drama. Fortune Redding is the best central character ever. And Carter is the perfect boyfriend!

    Always enjoy these an this is not exception. I didn't laugh as much as I have at Fortune's other books, but I did laugh.

    I truly enjoy this author's style. She can make me laugh out loud. This is the latest in this terrific series and it is another great story. Looking forward to the next book already.

    It's hard to believe that this is book 28 in the series! Usually, a series is great for the first few (maybe 10) books, and then the books get repetitive and, eventually, boring. That has NOT happened to this series. Every book follows neatly behind the books that came before, but it's still original, and each is an interesting and exciting adventure. I can't wait to read the next book, and hopefully more after that. Highly recommended!

    I really enjoyed this episode, but I was sad because I believed it was the last book, it does say 28/28. I am so happy to see we will being reading more, I held off months to read this one because I didn’t want to finish the series plus notice no one mention it being the last even though it shows it was. I Ami thankful that the author surprised me at the end,and I hope it just means a new series adventure for our team and Carter. I do not read anyone else’s books about Fortune but Deleon’s a will continue to do so. Love your books, thank for your talent and continued stories!

    This is the best. All the same characters but far more intense...some I had figured out and a lose end or two but fabulous premise...then the Swamp Team 3...especially the confrontation with law enforcement. Love Fortune and company. A must read...only if you've read all the others!!
