The book starts out and you think that it’s gonna be just a regular romance, but then it starts to change and you think oh I know what’s gonna happen and then it’s not what you thought it was gonna be. It’s very, very good suspenseful and hold your interest I read it in two days.

REVIEW :

First books by this author for me were All He Has Left (‘23 - 3 Stars due to being only 206 pages and not enough time to develop the characters) and Family Money (‘22 - 4 Stars).

Even though only 205 pages, the authors writing drew me right in. I even felt close to the characters very quickly. Plot kept me excited to see what would happen next in the hunt for Ashley & Joy. Very enjoyable !

This isn't a deep read with a lot of twists, and that's just fine.

Luke is a businessman (software, I think) who is still trying to recover from a tragic loss when he meets Ashley. She's everything he didn't know he needed, and when he discovers that she is not impressed by his wealth and status he finds new freedom in her and her daughter than he ever had before.

Unexpected events being Ashley to the spotlight of news and social media, something she's always avoided. When she turns up suddenly missing, Luke will move heaven and earth to bring his wife and step daughter home. However, the more he uncovers in his search, the more danger tightens it's grip on him and leaves him fearing for his family's safety and wondering if he will ever see them again.

Exciting read, well-written even if it's not twisty, likeable characters, and very few plot points that stretch disbelief beyond it's limits. I'll probably read more from this author.

Great characters and quick moving plot. This book was hard to put down, loved every page of it! Will be looking to read more of this author's books.

Liked the book a lot. Lots of twists and the characters are good and who wouldn't want a guy like Luke in your corner
! Some spots a little slow but otherwise worth the read.

I could not believe the callousness he felt for his first wife and daughter and quickly remarried. I dont believe i will read any of his books, you could predict how they were gone to turn out.
