5.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful way to end the series.

What an exceptional ending to an exceptional series. Everything was tied up nicely in a bow. The banter is all top-tier. There were lots of moments that had me laughing out loud. No tears, but let's be honest if you're here you've already survived the gut wrenching endings to book 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. So I feel like this one they can give us where HEA rules. Could this series have been 4 books shorter? Yes. But, if you're here you know that even if there are a million POVs you know that we are here to live in this wonderful world and its not like a whole book just set in the stage of the Burrow while nothing really happens is a bad thing. I was worried that there were too many things to tie together and end, but the twisted sisters did a great job. This book is long, 1150 pages! But, I couldn't help but love every second of it. Each couple was given their moment to shine and the stories and things that happened throughout the series had room to finally come to fruition.

10/10 ladies.
The spice was delicious.
Lionel got what was coming to him.
Only thing I could critique was that Clyde didn't play as much of a role as I thought he would.

Favorite Quotes:
“Thank the stars you didn’t have to come get me from death or you’d have been a very old man before you ever figured it out.” -Tory Vega. Yeah girl you simped hard for the brawn not the brains. The man says "Mine" like 90 times throughout the series.

"Were those surrounding me so intimidated by me that they couldn’t bear the weight of my shadow despite all I offered them in exchange for their loyalty? -Lionel Vega. No Lionel you're just a dick.

Ugh Darius trying to take the huge gold lump from under the FIB was hilarious. The epilogues were great. Hands down so funny and ugh the children were the icing on the cake.

5.0 out of 5 stars And we have officially come to our end…

I have been an avid reader for over a decade, living my life through the pages of books. I have fallen in love, fought battles, grown into powers, bowed to crowns, built families, died for justice, and so much more. I have laughed and cried alongside so many characters for so long.

When I began this series, I never imagined the love I would have for it. It went on for so very long. But, through the trials and tribulations of the twins, the growth of our Heirs, the countless deaths and reunions, the fighting for justice and love and equality and revenge… we have finally reached been gifted this conclusion.

I reread the series in preparation for this finale and I have to be honest, I cannot imagine it going any other way. Yes, it could’ve been shorter and we could have gone without a few POVs and side stories, but ultimately I don’t believe it makes a difference. Zodiac Academy rose up and fell down, over and over again, just like our True Queens and this ending was exactly as it should have been. I have fallen in love with these characters and their lives in these pages; I wish I could start it all over again to experience their story again.

If you are struggling through, please push forward, just like Tory and Darcy do. Be as courageous, reckless, infuriating, righteous, and selfish as them and take this story for your own. Live it, laugh with it, hate it, cry about it—just take it all and be changed forever.

4.0 out of 5 stars A mostly satisfying ending.

It is a mostly satisfying ending to a spellbinding series. There is humor, romance and heart touching moments that bring tears to one's eyes, but it starts off slow and sluggish. There are outstanding displays of the devastation of war, and it is great how those beyond The Veil are brought into this book. It is interesting to learn a little more about Thairix and wished there would have been a bit more. I enjoyed that a good portion of the book is set back at the academy. The storyline of the star Clydinius is lackluster and anticlimactic. I wish there would have been character growth for Geraldine Grus when it comes her being a good friend and being civil to others while serving the Queens and having some respect toward her boyfriend Max Rigel, such as refraining from mentioning the attractiveness of other guys around him. The same goes for Tory Vega having a little more respect towar Darius Acrux when it comes to treating him as her partner/husband instead of someone to bend to her will. It still astounds me on Lionel Acrux's delusions of grandeur even with him being frequently shown he is not as great or powerful as he thinks he is. As for the epilogue, it would have been great if there is more on the ruling/overseeing/running of the kingdom. I have enjoyed this series, and as much as I don't want it to end, I know it must. Thankfully, there is still more stories set in the Zodiac world, and now, with this series done, hopefully, the "Darkmore Penitentiary" series will now move forward, and when it does, may the baddie that got away in this series will get what one has coming, since I believe that person is working at Darkmore under an alias in that series.
