I enjoyed this very much. When I was nearly finished with it, I wasn't sure it would all come together in the end. Boy, was I silly for doubting! Really enjoyable, quick read!

This mystery had a lot of twists, and turns in figuring out who the murderer was. The biggest problem was that the perpetrator didn’t get justice. I never like that kind of story.

I'm not always a fan of short stories, but I've been picking up the stories in this collection to fill a little time and haven't read them together. Bite size cozy mysteries with amateur sleuths to keep you guessing and entertained. All part of the busybodies collection.

I thought my big family gatherings were bad, but we all end up alive in the end. Loved the author's usual family dynamics and that was an ending. This one is a little less humorous than the others.

A family dinner, a surprise engagement, some hidden family secrets. What will bubble up to the top & erupt in chaos?
There are too many characters introduced here too quickly, and it's hard to keep track of every family member. Our main 'busybody' detective is very unlikeable. At first she's the typical worried mother, but after some reveals at the end, she becomes nothing more than an evil caricature. No one to really root for in here.
