Jenna has spent five years in Haiti working with Doctors Without Borders and has seen and experienced many things. She moved to a small town called Serenity hoping that it will be a quiet place where she can relax a little. On her way into town she finds herself in the middle of an accident where she is called on to use her medical skills even before she starts her job in the local emergency room. She also meets Logan, the local fire chief and he landlord. She is surprised at the people who reach out to welcome her to town. Clara Cruise has written a story that grabs you right away and doesn’t let go! The strong characters are easy to relate to. This is a fun book that combines humor, romance, and unexpected twists and turns. If you enjoy a book that is easy to read and enjoyable throughout, this is a book for you. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and how the stories were quickly paced. The humor and emotions were so real I felt like I was living in the small town myself.

I hate it and feel ripped off when an author sells you a book and it's only the first few chapters. What could have been.one book, because it is just one story, is broken.into several books you must buy separately. So basically you pay for a few chapters at a time. I won't be doing that.

I've read a lot of books written by Clara Cruise; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is the 1st book of the In Serenity Series; she has written a great short story. When Dr. Jenna Novak moves to town but before she even starts her new job at the medical center she loses a critically injured victim at the site of the crash; now everyone wonders if she’s up to her job. Logan is the fire chief and also her neighbor.

Dr. Jenna Novak makes a explosive entrance into her new hometown of Serenity. After spending 5 years with Doctors Without Borders she’ll need a little serenity. A major crash into town puts Jenna to work before she’s even scheduled and in the path of Fire Chief Logan Cooper. Their first meeting is tense and that’s being tame. Once the calamity of the day settles, he drives her home where he’s had her car delivered from the highway and her boxes moved into her house. The kick in the head is, he’s her landlord and neighbor. A night out with Logan and the crew has Jenna weak in the knees, but apprehensive for some reason. She just wants a hot shower and some self induced relief, but all she can think of is Logan, until she finds a humongous snake in her shower! Logan hears her scream and runs to her aid. Things get really hot and steamy, but several dings from her phone gives them both a “reality check!”
I’m invested in this series now and I need more of The Doc and the Fire Chief!!!!

Jenna is just entering the town of Serenity and her new life when she comes across an accident scene. Things do not go well there, and the fire chief, Logan, is not impressed. He also lives next door to her and she thought her life would go easier here in the small town. Chaotic is a perfect word to describe Logan and Jenna getting together. He does rescue her from a huge snake.... in her shower. This is part of a series so the romance is just getting started. The characters around town are unique and quirky and into full on bets on the fire chiefs romantic life. Laughed so hard during some situations. A fun storyline that shows a lot of promise and can not wait to find out what happens next for these two. Should get even more interesting.
