About this item
She bought the cabin on a whim. But will it transform into her perfect getaway?
Burnt out from her high-flying author career and dreaming of escaping her busy Manhattan life, when Laura discovers her husband cheating on her with another writer, she knows it’s time for a change. After her brother calls her about a country Bed and Breakfast for sale, Laura ditches New York and buys it on the spot… only to realize that the run-down cabin will need more than a little elbow grease to restore it to working condition.
As she’s swept up in the quiet joys of small-town life, an ad in the local paper draws her to the rugged handyman Paul – and though his wicked humor sours first impressions, she soon warms to his rustic charms. But her past isn’t done with her yet.
Faced with the daunting reality of fixing up her cabin – and with her Manhattan agents pressuring her to return to the big city – Laura must find the strength to commit to her new future… and maybe find true love along the way.

Laura has finally gotten all the paperwork together for her lawyer ensure her that her ex can’t get anything more from her regarding the sale of her apartment. Now days later Charles shows up at her cabin and insists that he can claim rights to any new publication of a book that she does! Once again she contacts her lawyer and he finds a way that says Charles has no rights! Laura finally thinks all is done. While celebrating the issue of her license for her b&b with Noah a knock on her door shows the same man who delivered her most recent summons. Now it seems the previous owners of the cabin claim tat the property is theirs because they found proof of a deed! Can she ever get a break?
Charles showed up a short time later at her cabin claiming to sue her and get all he believes he's entitled to and thankfully the court threw out all of the claims and said it was 'closed', finished.
