About this item

I’ve loved him since high school. Now he’s my hot but socially awkward boss.

And this morning he proposed marriage in the elevator…

Elliot Ramsay has always been… a little awkward. A genius? Absolutely. Clothes-meltingly gorgeous? Oh, you’d better believe it. But ever since high school math class, I’ve been the only one who’s really understood the guy.

Until now, anyway.

Because I
do not get it. I don’t get why marrying will somehow fix Elliot’s public image, and I don’t get why he’s picked me when he’s rich and powerful enough to have anyone. Don’t get how we’ve survived years and years of sexual tension, only for him to blow it all up at 9am in the office elevator.

But the most confusing thing of all?

I don’t know why I agreed.

And now I need to keep my hands off my husband...

Bride Bargain is a short and steamy instalove novella, starring one socially awkward boss and the assistant who'd do anything for him.

The story was short and sweet with a cutesy ending that left me feeling giddy. Cassie Mint writes some of the best short stories

Clair knows him better than anyone, but she seems more confused sometimes than anyone.

And as a woman who has never believed she'd ever have him, fails to understand that when she does, he really means it.

Elliott always believes the worst of any situation, and when Clair is confused, simply decides she wants out. It takes Claire realizing she has to go for what she wants, before either of them can believe that what is between them is REAL.

A sweet, love story of misunderstandings and confusion, until everything is crystal clear... I just wish it was more, LONGER..

The push and pull of are they going to figure it out is present but not to a frustrating point. Even though the communication isn't perfect, the mmc and fmc don't let miscommunication s linger once the story starts up.

A cute, quick read. Great pallet cleanser. I’m a sucker for men who love their wives so this was a nice treat.

This book was fine. The plot was unremarkable. Probably not worth a read.

Elliot’s character had potential, but instead of being a fully fleshed-out neurodivergent character, he became a one-note, autistic-coded stereotype. As an autistic person, I wish that the character had a little more depth and was also explicitly labeled as autistic rather than the generic “fussy, overly literal, quiet genius”. Some of his autistic characteristics (texture aversion, reduced expressiveness) were played as something to overcome and the FMC is really not understanding of his personality at all. I think the book could have been great if the author had taken more care with the characters.

This was such a great friends to lovers story. Both main characters were great and I loved their friendship. Both Claire and Elliot are willing to go the extra mile for that friendship and protect the other one from the world. That solid foundation is why their love story works. I'd recommend this one.

They have been friends since high school. Best friends since high school.. He is now a successful tech billionaire and she is his PA. She is the only one who understands him, how he misses social cues or misunderstands people in social settings . She has been running interference for him for years all well secretly harboring a crush on him. He doesn’t understand people and mostly can’t stand them except for her. When the latest misunderstanding lands him canceled on the front page of the gossip rags, he proposes that they get married to help humanize him to the press. This is a short story format so you don’t expect to get a lot of character development or complicated plot line. The author does a good job describing the relationship of the two main characters and how his social struggles have bonded them. You don’t get other characters or any details really about their family situations so the main focus is them. The potline is pretty straightforward. This unrequited love on both their part and trying to figure out their way together. It is a sweet story featuring a neurodivergent MMC.
