About this item

From New York Times Bestselling author Kristen Proby comes the final installment in her beloved Wilds of Montana series, featuring a small town, marriage of convenience, second chance love for the ages!

I have loved Millie Wild for more than eight years. Since that summer long ago when we were inseparable, stealing moments, keeping our love a secret.

And my girl has hated me for just as long.

When my father found out about my love for Millie, the daughter of the rival family next door to us, he threatened everything I love the most if I didn’t let her go. My father didn’t give idle threats.

I had to hurt her to save her.

And for eight long years, I stayed away. But now, my father is dead and buried, leaving a caveat in the will that in order to inherit what’s rightfully mine and my sisters’, I have to marry and stay that way for one full year.

There’s only one woman in the world that I would consider saying I do to.

Millie is happy with her life, owning her coffee shop, enjoying her family. I deserve her glares, her snarky comments. Every moment of pain, from her or self-inflicted, is mine to own. She deserves so much more than me, standing on her doorstep, asking her to marry me. To help me.

But she says yes. Yes to one year of being mine, and I plan to show her that she’ll be mine until the stars fall from the sky.

With the name Lexington, I know that I’ve caused pain for not only Millie but the entire Wild family. Will I be able to convince my wild rose that I’m in love with her for all of the right reasons, or will the centuries-old family rivalry tear her away from me?

5.0 out of 5 stars Holden & Millie
Reviewed in the United States on December 24, 2024
Swoon!! This whole story is such a swoon fest. Holden is denied many things growing up, and as an adult, he's forced to break Millie's heart. We've seen bits & pieces of their chemistry throughout the series, and learning the full story from his POV is ????!

I love how he's able to heal the rift. He's honest, now that he can be, and puts in the work to make amends with Millie.

Millie is understandably wary of trusting him, but even when she hated him, she still cared about him. I love her heart & the way she opens it back up to him.

I LOVE the progression of their marriage! Love the way they own their titles as nicknames. Love the family dynamics & friendships.

Their story has lots of ???????????????? to go with the swoon. And a different kind of suspense storyline that heals a lot of generational hurts.

    Beautiful story!!

And! A preview of the next connected series... yay!

Wow this story was so good. It flowed so well, really brought the emotions and the love was big. Loved Holden. Loved Millie and all the family. Really dealt with the past well and the family healed as they moved forward. Hot sexy times with these two and they were so good for each other. I can’t say enough how good it was.

Wow. This book grabbed me from the get go and I could not put it down. The pace that it moves along to is perfect for how the story moves. The characters are amazing and you feel as though you know them and you cant help but love them. This book is a must read, you will not be sorry that you did. Can’t wait for the next book!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A heartfelt finale with all the feels!

While I'm sad to see The Wilds of Montana series come to an end, I'm thrilled for the next chapter in Bitterroot Valley! Over the past three weeks, this audiobook has become my ultimate comfort read, and I'm absolutely obsessed.

This marriage of convenience story is perfection, even through all the pain and trials they face from the aftermath of his father, I love their communication once Holden was free to tell Millie the truth and fight what they should've had. With dual POV's, you get a rich perspective on the characters shared past, making their journey even more compelling.

If you haven't started this series yet, add it to your TBR immediately so you're ready to dive into The Blackwells of Montana in 2025. I'm already hooked on the Blackwell family and can't wait for their stories to unfold. Plus, the return of beloved characters from previous books that will make it all the more heartwarming!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Ending To The Series

What a way to end the Wilds of Montana series! Holden and Millie brought all the feels and plenty of heat. I love that Holden and Millie never really let go of their feelings for another and although Holden had to hurt Millie to protect her, he kept the hope alive that one day they would be together.

I love the way Kristen Proby is able to paint a picture of a place so vividly that I can see the mountains and she has a giant ability of creating families, both real and found, that you want to be a part of. There’s a little tease at the end of the story which makes me believe that we will be able to visit Bitterroot Valley once more, so I’m sure we will get to be with the Wild’s once again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Holden and Millie are everything!

I am moving to Bitterroot Valley lol. I have loved every book and everything in this series. From the settings, the characters, the story, the love-it's just the best. I could not get enough. I have been waiting for Holden and Millie since book 1, Wild for You. The little glimpses that we got throughout the series was just the right amount of anticipation and I was on pins and needles when I finally got to read them. Holden and Millie were everything. These two were destined to be together but it just took a little time. While Holden hurt Millie in the past, when he needed her she couldn't help but be there for him. She does her best to keep him at arm's length but the more time they spent together, she saw flashes of the man she fell in love with. It was so wonderful to see these two come together. They were explosive but also sweet and tender and loving. They had each other's backs and the love they had for one another was deep. I was in love with Holden and Millie until the end. Theirs was a hard fought HEA but so well deserved. I also loved the iconic women's collective. Seeing women supporting one another was great. I will never get enough of the Wilds. I think this is a series I will be rereading for a long time. I am excited to continue to spend more time in Bitterroot Valley with the Blackwell family. Kristen Proby did such a magnificent job with this series. It was all that and a bag of chips. Love love love!!!
