About this item

When you catch your fiancé cheating on you with your sister on Christmas Eve, the elf hat comes off.
I’ve always been the good girl—the anti Scrooge—the one who sacrifices for her guests, bakes cookies for her neighbors, and stays late after a party to clean up.
I don’t mind. I like being on the nice list.

I kept smiling when I caught my fiancé coming down my sister’s chimney on Christmas Eve.
I gave polite congratulations when they got engaged on Christmas morning.
And I even offered to help decorate for their holiday wedding despite the fact that was supposed to be
my dream wedding.

But when my sister cuts up our great-grandmother’s one-hundred-year-old wedding dress and turns it into a skank show, even though that was the dress I was going to wear on
my wedding day?
Well, this elf is torching down the North Pole.

And what better way to get revenge than giving those cheaters a taste of their own medicine?
This good elf is bringing the bad boy home for Christmas.
Hudson is a six-foot-five, coldhearted, tattooed bad elf with a perpetual sneer and washboard abs.
He’s exactly my sister’s type.
And he’s going to help me nuke her wedding from orbit on the night before Christmas.

What he is not supposed to do is grab my ass in the kitchen while I bake gingerbread.
Or crawl in my bed half naked.
And he’s definitely not supposed to smirk and tell me to commit to our fake relationship right before he goes down on me.

Guess there’s a reason the good elves stay far away from the bad.

Good elves of Christmas unite! We’re ogling the tattooed chests of shirtless bad boys, baking massive amounts of cookies, drinking all the wine, and trying to survive recently divorced grandmothers who have a pathological obsession with our love lives. This standalone holiday romantic comedy has all the Christmas cheer you can fit in your stocking and a happily ever after, guaranteed!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fantastic Read!

It’s a rollicking fun read. I love all the characters. It’s fast paced with a lot of steam. It’s a hilariously contrived story that is so enthralling I can’t put it down. I read this in one reading.

This book has it all. Humor, horror (the family kind), romance, spice, and drama.

I picked it up on my Christmas romcom binge and I am not sorry.

The story us cute, if not a bit redundant. It's a revenge plot against the main characters sister. But I didn't care bc Alina does a fantastic job building her characters in a short period of time. I loved the ones I was supposed to and I hated the ones I was supposed to. It's a basic romcom formula with solid writing by the author. By the end I was crying happy and sad tears bc I was so wrapped up in the family. I wished I was there having Christmas in their sheer chaos she also does such a great job with dialogue, there's definitely some of the more eye rolling moments but you learn to forgive it bc the family dialogue just makes you laugh and the partners make you feel something inside.

It didn't get 5 stars bc it is a romcom and sure I love the characters but the way the family treats Gracie is kind of terrible and tho I'm sure it's true somewhere, it doesn't end like it does in the book. Some of it makes you sad, some of it makes you roll your eyes. There's a lot of trauma in general in the book, and it got to be a little too much.

But at the end of the day, the spice level in the book (3/5 on the chili scale- the scenes that Alina wrote are fantastic, but there could be more. ;)) and the funny and sweet moments with the big bang at the end, it was enough for me to say, if you're like me and like a romcom with a spice level and some silly fun in an imaginary world with a hot bad boy falling for the soft good girl. This is the one for you.

Now excuse me as I go follow another Wynter brother.

Don't worry, I'll report back.

This book is hilarious in more ways than one. It's action packed with lots of spice and had my mouth hanging open more than once. It's perfect Christmas read and long enough to keep going.

3.0 out of 5 stars a different but entertaining read

This story is cute and has a Cinderella vibe. However, I just wanted to scream at Gracie to get some balls. MFC and MMC have chemistry but for such a sweet girl the dirty talk feels too much. There are parts of the story and timeline didn’t make sense- why was the cheater always at the house? This family is way beyond dysfunctional but it is entertaining. Some funny and clever moments. Didn’t think I could finish it, yet couldn’t put it down. If you want a different type of story, this is a good read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny Christmas story

Some people hated this book, but I LOVED it. It was funny. Yes some people put it as a DNF because they couldn't stomach the main female character. However they completely missed out. This is the second book I've read by Alina Jacob's and I wasn't disappointed. It's got spice, tons of stupid, vulgar humor (I want grandma as my grandma).

4.0 out of 5 stars Truly enjoyable experience!

This book was an engaging and enjoyable read overall. The FMC while initially lacking in assertiveness, was still a likable and relatable character. While it would have been preferable for her to develop a stronger sense of self-assurance earlier on, her gradual growth and journey towards finding her voice added depth and realism to the story. Despite this, the book remained captivating and well-written and it kept me invested in the story until the end.

What an amazing book!

Great couple and packed with interesting side characters and if Dakota doesn't get with Grayson I'll be very disappointed but this book is tons of fun.

If you don't like Christmas this is not for you as this girl is immersed in it more than anyone ever and how this is not a holiday movie I don't know.

I did expect James to be stealing the company funds but this ending is worlds better.

Highly recommended.

Also the sex is hot and eventually frequent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny. Witty. Gaslighting galore!
Reviewed in the United States on November 24, 2024
This was a funny and witty holiday read! This is a full fledged book and not a holiday novella.

This family is bonkers! Like out of their minds nuts and I absolutely enjoyed reading their shenanigans. Our FMC is just trying to get by and keep the peace. So, in other words, she’s a doormat and does whatever they ask. Her sister is always trying to figure out how to be the center of attention. Stealing her boyfriends, making a scene and detailing everything. Our MMC is a bad boy to the bone and shows up when nobody else does. But who doesn’t love a man who looks great without his shirt, bakes cookies, and sneaks treats to the pug he “can’t stand?”

Check your triggers and enjoy!!!
