Maddy finally decides to stay in Nantucket and start a new life with her son, her mother is moving to Miami, not far from where Maddy lived. She tells Ethan and made him very happy, and he lets her know he this is all he wants. She now has to make the trip to Miami to take care of her business and back up her apartment. Her mom will go with them and make the move, all this time Maddy lived there, now they reverse the living arrangements. She tells Ethan it will take about one month and he sees them off at the dock, they both know this is just the begging of their journey. They settle everything and then take Mom to her new home, which they all love all is good. Its sad to say goodbye to her mother, but they will see each other on visits. Maddy and Mason go back home to Nantucket, and there is Ethan waiting again at the dock for them, so their new life begins. He takes her out for Valentines day dinner and afterward he proposes to her , she did not see that coming and he tells him yes. They get married in the Spring and at Christmas they have the annual family party at her house. Very good story, sorry to see it end.
