I try to keep my head down, try not to be noticed. It's better this way. Suddenly I'm whisked away in a dark sedan. I can't help but wonder what my future holds, if at all.     This novella is very well written. I loved all the characters. Would have loved to see her uncle suffer for what he did. Can't wait to read more

    Right away, we start off with Leah’s uncle Harry dragging her out of the house on Christmas Eve, which also is her birthday. He tells her nothing, and not too long after, she realizes she’s being sold to the highest bidder at some weird club.

    I’ll bet she never forgets this birthday.

    Luckily, there’s a guardian angel, Kane, who’s been watching over her from afar for a year, and when she goes up for auction, he makes sure that he's the one who wins her. Oh, and he’s the head of a biker gang.

    Naturally Leah is both relieved and worried when she leaves with Kane; relieved because he's kind to her and cares about her well-being, and worried because, well, he's the leader of a biker gang. Is she just jumping from the frying pan into the fire?

    Well, if that fire is having a hot as hell biker in full “touch her and die” mode for her, then yeah, she’s definitely jumping in.

    I do love me a protective man, especially one who might be seen as gruff or off-putting. Kane knows what he wants, and knows what he’s willing to do to keep Leah with him and make her happy. Of course, that road is going to get a little bumpy, but it will all work out in the end, because Cassi Hart loves a good HEA.

    This book is steamy, so you’ve been warned. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Cassi Hart writes consistently compelling stories with great plots (twists at times-- yay!) that are surprising deep for their length. Unfortunately, this one fell short on the biker side as the hero could've been any regular man and I don't think his character has enough of the "biker leader." It left me scratching my head. I also felt the heroine was a bit naive and needy and I just didn't buy her instalove side. I like this author, but this one wasn't for me.

    Sold to the Biker by Cassi Hart is a short 'n sweet with bïts of spïcẹ, safe stalker, he-falls-first, young virgin damsel saved by the older biker, a little danger romance that takes place around Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. Leah's evil uncle forces her to an auction to be sold. Don, MC President of the Black Vipers has been watching Leah for over a year - investigating her uncle at the same time. He knows she is being forced to go to the auction. He goes there to buy her & save her. Leah doesn't know him, but feels safe with him. Sexy times together, HEA, future epilogue, a quick read.

    Leah's creep of a uncle, who has been her guardian since her parents death, is out to sell her at auction. Prepared for the sale Don steps in to buy her. He has known of Leah for a year and has been waiting to bring down her uncle for personal reasons which you learn about later. Leah will also have more reasons to hate him as well. She is welcome into Don's world easily and the intimacy happens pretty quickly. Considering how she has had to live since her parents death you can understand why. An incident happens but Leah is saved in the nick of time and her uncle goes down rightly so
    As usual the big tough hero is humanized by a sweet young thing. This next point is just on me but I don't like when spanking is evolved in the act. I don't care if the woman doesn't mind it.

    Leah's parents were killed in an accident when she was 13; her uncle has provided her. Now her uncle is taking her somewhere, she just doesn't where. An auction where he is selling her. Don is at the auction since he saw Leah the year before when he was speaking to Harry. She was playing a piano and singling. He planted bugs in select spots to keep track of Leah using a restroom excuse. Don is going to win Leah and take her to his home. What does Leah think of Don? What happens when she sees possible evidence in Don's office that Harry may arranged her parents deaths. Why would he kill his own brother? What happens when Leah confronts Harry? Will Don be able to rescue her?.

    Cassi Hart writes amazingly vivid descriptions of her characters and their surroundings. You can feel the fear and terror of Leah as she faces her abusive Uncle and is then put up on the auction block. Don’s possessive emotions are evident as he sees other men bid on her and then he announces his bid to win her. He’s gentle and protective and lets her lead. Their passion together is fire! ????

    I loved this story of the auction which takes place on Christmas eve—which is also Leah’s birthday. The Christmas confrontation with the Uncle had my heart pounding!

    Listen, I know that this is fiction. More than that, I know that it is OTT romance fiction. So, it's gonna be far-fetched in the best of circumstances.
    This is a bit beyond that, unfortunately. More than just the character's feelings are OTT hard to swallow. There's also a bunch of loose ends just hanging at the end. Even for a short read, it seemed unnecessary.
    Could have been better for sure.
