About this item

Someone has been terrorizing my small town—a huge, horrifying beast, to be exact. He won’t stop rampaging until the villagers sacrifice an innocent. Lucky me! I’m the chosen one. I’ve been tied to a tree in a wedding dress and left as an offering to the cruel ruler of the hills. But once the beast approaches, I glimpse the lonely human beneath the wild hair and mountainous body. Yes, he’s very much a man…a man who will stop at nothing to claim me as his mate.

Jessa Kane did a great job on this story, it had a great plot. I liked when Diana and Ike first met, she said some funny stuff.
Ike knew the moment he saw Diana she was his. He hasn't had an easy life so I was happy he had her. Ike was protective and possessive. The chemistry between them was off the charts steamy.
Diana and Ike were perfect together. I enjoyed their story.
Thank you, Jessa Kane. Great work :)

4.0 out of 5 stars A delightful, light-hearted adult version of the legend

This is neither a deep work about love and healing, nor a dark tale of monsters. It's simply a fun story of innocence, misunderstandings and sexual discovery.
So what if not all of it is really very believable? Or if the hero comes off dumber than a rock sometimes?
    Just enjoy it!

Ummmm, this felt like really choppy writing. There weren’t any writing errors that threw me off completely. Just a lot of run-on sentences and the writing was fragmented. It’s PNR, but it wasn’t the most enjoyable experience. It just seemed too unrealistic given the setting and confusing way the villagers spoke and behaved. Seemed like it was old timey, yet our heroine claims it’s the 21st century and speaks as such. Just her though. And the way the beast describes how he feels about the heroine is so not hot, it’s weird. I thought to myself, ok this is supposed to be campy and over the top ridiculousness. So with that frame of mind I could just go along with it. And by doing so I found this to be pretty funny in a slightly amusing and awkward way. I’m not really familiar with this author, so I’m not sure what her strengths and weaknesses are as a writer and if this was just a one off. So I’m giving her three stars, because I did finish the story. Only to see how this could possibly end and it’s hella short. But if she were an author I typically enjoyed, I’d for sure give this two stars for the choppy writing and totally ludicrous plot.

I need to find my own wilderness man. Diana is from a small town with backwards thinking. Ike has spent his whole life in the mountains. Wild and gruff. He is a big, BIG guy everywhere. Jessa always brings the heat and this book is not only hot but engaging. Its become one of my favorites. this book contains elements of voyeurism.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fiery passion, sincere emotion, and unexpected humor

When animals begin to turn up dead in the town of Piccadily, no one at first knew the reason. But one older resident thinks history is repeating itself, and the only way to stop the killings is to give a human woman as a gift to a creature called the Beast. Diana is the individual chosen by the villagers to appease the being, but what happens after coming in contact with the very large man is nothing like she imagined.

Having not ever read anything released by Jessa Kane, I had no idea about her writing style. The premise of the book could have gone in quite a few directions, and the way in which the story played out was interesting to me. What I discovered while reading SACRIFICED TO THE BEAST was scenes filled with fiery passion, sincere emotion, and unexpected humor. The male lead was definitely not your usual hero, yet I still found Ike to be likable. As for the heroine, I thought Diana was a much more spirited person than she saw herself. Any conversations between her and the “Beast” entertained me during every interaction, regardless of whether their talks were about sex or a serious matter or even some unintentional witty comments. When it comes to any aspect concerning sex, there are some honestly candid moments plus lots of extremely steamy encounters. The story certainly kept me captivated, as I had to find out what would ultimately happen to Diana and Ike.

This story is short, but so sexy and Romantic!
It has both sex and love. The characters are matched in heart and soul, so that we fall in love with them as they fall in love with each other. It has smokin hot sex and lots of love.
A real satisfying pleasure to read!

I really really enjoyed reading this story, wink wink. It is well written and stayed true to the storyline. It had very sweet HEA, to end this unlikely love story. I will look for other books by this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 stars , Jessa Kane did it again

This is my first time writing a review and I felt that it was much-needed since this book has been getting such bad criticism. In my opinion Jessa Kane did not disappoint ,I really love the Beauty and the Beast concept and the steamy sexual encounters with Diana and Ike. Diana was put up as an offering for the beast whom the people believe has been killing off the animals in the village. They believe by sacrificing Diana the Beast will stop terrorizing the town, little do they know he's not all of what Diana or the Village expect him to be. Hes more of a man than a beast and immediately wants to claim Diana as his in more ways than one.
