About this item
When the single mom moves in next door, it's your enemy's soon-to-be ex-wife.
Lines are drawn, and I have to remember not to cross them.
Brady
For once, my life was calm.
Behind us was the threat our distillery was going to be shut down.
Now we could focus on growing our brand exactly the way I dreamed of doing it when I took it over.
Nothing was going to stop me.
Until she moved in next door.
My enemy’s wife with her seven-year-old son.
I don’t need this right now.
But everything inside me pulled me toward her.
Even offering her a job. Little did I know, again, I was starting a war.
However, I’m ready for it this time.
Harmony
It was no secret my husband had a wandering eye.
Leaving him shouldn’t have been a shock to anyone.
For Winston, it was more about failing at something that got under his skin.
Besides, he had to make his parents happy.
Which means he’s going to make my life unhappy.
When the pounding starts at my door one night, I’m ready to ignore it.
Until the stranger next door comes to our aid.
He’s everything you want in a man.
I know I shouldn’t involve anyone else in my life.
But maybe it’s time for me to see what dreams are made of.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read!
Brady can’t figure out why Harmony and her young son moved in to the dilapidated house next door. She should have a big check coming to her from her ex and should be living in luxury. He quickly finds out what’s going on after a drunken late night visit from her ex. And the pull he feels toward Harmony is not what he was expecting at all. And the need to help her sever ties with her old life and make her and her son his gets stronger as time goes on. He even calls in help from a previous character to help.
I really enjoyed this story. The emotion, humor and character interaction is so well written, I didn’t want to put it down. And as always the steam level is perfection.

Thoughts: I really liked this book. It was a quick read for me as I read it in one sitting. It was fast paced and well plotted out. I liked the evolution of Brady and Harmony’s relationship. They started out as enemies, but quickly realized they had a common enemy, Harmony’s ex.
Harmony was a strong character who was going through so much and finally finding her way. She was dedicated to giving her son the best life she could.
Brady was extremely protective of Harmony, even when he thought he hated her. As soon as he got to know her, he saw the error in blaming her for her ex’s actions. Brady became her rock and never wavered in claiming both her and her son Wyatt.

5.0 out of 5 stars I will protect you
Harmony, I commend you for fighting. You put yourself and your son first. Never game up even when you knew defeat. That showed a woman who loves herself and her child. You took it and came out on top. I loved this for you.
The surprises in this book had me giddy and welling. Oh, how the mighty has fallen. KARMA!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Finding their happily ever after
Brady Thatcher has hated the Cartwright’s for a long time. They’ve tormented his family, and he’ll never find in his heart to forgive them. He’s especially angry when Harmony Cartwright moves next door, bringing a world of chaos to his quiet neighborhood.
This book was so sweet! Poor Harmony is doing her best to make ends meet, but life is giving her a run for her money. I loved how hardworking she was. She was burning both ends of her candle, but never once complained. It just made it so much sweeter when Brady finally steps in, and tries to help. It takes him a minute to pull his head out of his butt, but once he did? Swoon city.
I loved this book even more than the first. It’s much less heartbreaking, but still emotional in the best way. I loved watching the relationship between Harmony and her son, and the way Brady fits into their life. It was so very sweet.
I can’t wait to see what happens next!
