    I love Catherine Cowles. All the Missing Pieces is Cowles at her finest - emotional, funny and immersive. Seriously, I think Catherine Cowles’ super power is creating such a rich setting. The town, Shady Cove, felt alive. I was so excited to learn more about the different town hang outs and meet everyone. Each new interaction made me want to live in the story. And the rich story isn’t limited to humans, the animals in this book had so much personality. This is probably my 5th or 6th CC book and I NEVER see the twist coming. They are always devastating and shocking in equal measure. I am low key still reeling from this one. If you’re interested in trying Catherine Cowles but are intimidated by her backlist, this is a perfect place to start. You can learn her style and decide if it is for you! 5 ⭐️

    The first time that I am writing a review as soon as I finished the book. As soon as I read the blurb, I knew I had to read this and it was beautiful.
    Ridley is an awesome badass and is now one of my favorite characters. There is so much depth to her character and personality that she sucks you into her story, makes you feel, makes your cry and most importantly she makes you feel strong. She is perfectly beautiful.
    And Colt was a perfect compliment to Ridley. There are few times you read characters that are so perfect with and to each others that you really want them to be real and in your life. That’s colt and Ridley. I am totally in love all the secondary characters. They complement the story wonderfully.
    All in all, a great book!!

    That's Colt's nickname for Ridley & it's so cute! ???? Also cute, all the animals in this story - but especially Tater & her tooth hugs. ????????

    This was a heartachey read in some bits, full of healing. I love Ridley's strength & heart, and Colt's grumbling. Their banter & helping each other even before they knew they were helping each other, too.

    Colt & Ridley's story a lot. It's healing & heat & sweet & friendships & suspense. Whew! What a ride!

    Thoughts: I love that this was a true standalone. It’s not often that I read a book with a whole new cast of characters and finish it feeling like there were no loose ends. This book provided so many new characters and a whole new town, but I felt like everything was addressed and tied up in a nice bow by the end. I loved all the secondary characters and especially Tater the three legged cat and Colt’s dog Bowser.

    This book really had it all. It had humor and emotion, suspense and mystery, and banter and romance. I loved the premise and the development of Colt and Ridley’s relationship. It was interesting to see their similarities in their grief but the vast difference that grief manifested itself. I loved the podcast and the investigation into Emerson’s kidnapping and Avery’s disappearance. I can honestly say I had no idea who the villain was until he struck at the end and it was someone who wasn’t even on my radar.

    This book was excellently written and exceeded my expectations, which were already high because I’ve never read a Catherine Cowles book I haven’t liked.

    Ridley is one of my fav female main characters. She is so fierce and full of heart. This story is so beautiful and heartbreaking with what these characters have been through. Ridley and Colt, the local sheriff both have tragic experiences that are similar and horrible. I loved the way Catherine developed Colt and Ridley’s characters and how their relationship was a true slow burn love story, healing both of them and each other in their grief. Ridley comes to Colts town in hopes of solving a cold case kidnapping that was similar to her own twin sister’s disappearance, only this one was found. Ridley soon discovers that the people in the town are protective of the history and the girl taken, who turns out to be Colts sister. Without knowing Ridley’s intentions, Colt makes assumptions causing tense moments and hurtful words. While Ridley is working the case and making headway, she finds herself in danger causing Colt to step up and surprises even himself with his need to keep her safe. After all she is his Chaos and he is her Lawman. The twist was so shocking you never see it coming. I’ve read almost all of Catherines books and this one is unlike anything I have read by her and I loved it and all the new characters. Another hit by one of fav authors♥️♥️
